Welcome Back!!

The exams count are a little different but here's the final exams from 2nd year of university. The count start in 0 to 20.

I'll try to translate the names the best I can

1st half:
Programação I -> 17 ------- ( Programming I )
Electrónica II -> 13 ------- ( Electronic II )
Base de Dados I -> 12 ------- ( Data Base I )
Sistemas Operativos I ->12 ------- ( Operating System I )
Análise Numérica ->11 ------- ( Numerical Analysis )
Sistemas e Sinais I -> 11 ------- ( Signals and Systems I )

2nd half:
Redes de Dados I -> 14 ------- ( something with LANs. Can't find a name )
Sistemas e Sinais II -> 11 ------- ( Signals and Systems II )
Programação II -> 13 ------- ( Programming II )
Métodos Estatísticos -> 13 ------- ( Statistic Method )
Arquitectura dos Computadores -> 12 ------- ( Computer Architecture )
Programação e Técnicas de Internet I -> 18 ------- ( Programming and Technics of Internet I )

Well, I know this results aren't the best but hey... I'm in the 3rd year and it begins in September 20th :/ .
Well it's incredible but I was the only one who pass to 3rd with all exams pass and just another one which entrer in the same time I enter, pass to 3rd :/ Lot's of people can't pass in some Mathematics but especially in Electronic and Signals and Systems, which are the most difficults. That's the reason some people coulnd't pass :/

My exam results for my summer courses (physics and physics lab) were an A- in the lecture and an A in the lab.

I just started up again with Pre-Reconstruction US history, World History II, Microeconomics, and some other stuff. I'll let you know how it goes in december after exams.

ABBC.

I got a C in English Lang/Lit, which is going to get remarked. One of the exams, I got a really high B in my mocks, and only scraped an E in the exam (oddly enough, this has happened to everyone in my class). The school is sending all the papers back for remarking. This isn't the first time AQA has fucked me about. They fucked up the marking on my English and History AS results. And I'm fairly confident I didn't do as bad as an E in that exam. Also 2 marks off an A in History, which was dissapointing.

Looks like I'm off to UEA then... not before some hard work and a world tour.

Grades go from A* to G. A* being highest, G lowest.

I did GCSEs, the standard compulsory tests at the end of compulsory education.
Snapman did A(s)-Levels, which are like GCSEs, but harder and vocational.

It's not quite the same. It's just a grade higher than A. And you can only get it at GCSE, not at A-level.

Well, I haven't done my GCSEs yet but will have in a year's time.

Hmmm, all except me...

Acctually considering I wasn't in school for 80% of year 11 (for various reasons I won't go into) and hence missing out most of the coursework and the later subject modules it's a miracle I got any A's at all.

(btw not that it matters but I got:
Science (Double award): AA
Maths: A
Business Studies: A
English (lang): A
English (lit): C
Geography: B
German: C
IT: D (Major piece of Coursework missing for this one))

I'm not sure but I think each grade letter represents a percentage of the total marks available for examined coursework/tests. So if overall you got 90% (or some such number) of the marks available you would recieve an A* grade. So for a G (the lowest grade) you need to have got over something like 10% (I don't know the actual number but it's probably something like that). The only grade that stands for something is a U which means Ungraded.

I'm probably wrong but someone who knows more about it will probably correct me.

That's in America.

And the grade boundaries differ for each subject.

To get a G in GCSE you do really need to be stupid though... Or have missed parts of the course. But even then, you should be able to get a C no problems.

I got the complete grades today, for this trimester (2/3). My school is the hardest school in my state, Minas Gerais, probably one of the 20 (or maybe 10) hardest ones in the country. That doesn't matter though, being stupid and lazy doesn't help ^^;

The minimum required for approval being 60% (21 pts), full grade being 35.

Math - 16 / Physics - 16 / Chemistry - 21
Geography - 23/ History - 28 / Biology - 25
Portuguese Language and Literature - 30 / Modern Foreign Language: English - 23
Philosophy - 31 / Sociology - 27
Physical Education - 32 / Religious Education - 32

Anyhow, I'm pretty happy with those grades.
