I don't get it. Pat-down searches to stop assholes from blowing up airplanes is funny? I'm confused.

I originally took as humorous the fact that they even want to check pilots. Pilots after all, are effectively steering a giant weapon. They don't need a bomb. (not to mention having multiple scans per day, every day, would probably be a health hazard to them).

Sadly, I think the humor value is a little more low-brow, and refers to the image that suggests something completely different is being done.

homeland security is gay, if the tourtisies really cared they ,wouldn't just bomb the phallic-lookin buildings and only kill a few thousand people. Boo-hoo they killed a few thousand out of a few hundred million, whatever are we going to do. The destruction of the building was a bigger tragedy then the people who died there. They ought to use chemical and biological weapons... Too bad they never had any of those.

I think you should've added this into the "Quetchs marvelous links" or whatever thread you had back then instead of creating a new one just for this.

THINK OF THE ENVIROMENT, STOP WASTING BYTES INTO THE CYBERSPACE!!11

sgk: Think of it this way: it's like a message in a bottle. In our world, we put a message inside a bottle to protect it while it travels through the oceans to reach some other island. In other worlds, they put a message inside an asteroid to protect it while it travels through space to reach some other planet. In this case it is a gift, a guitar, rather than just a message.
