My album is finally finished!

Well, after a year of work, I have most definitely finished working on my album. I just finished working on the last track (also the last in the album), it's called Nightfall Requiem, kind of a sad post-war-in-dreamland music. I personally really love it, though that's a given

Now all that needs taken care of is writing the epic trilogy which will be based on this album, recording everything on a live studio with live instruments, and seeing if I can actually go public with this.

Anyway, the album will conssist of 10 tracks, each will tell a different chapter in the full story. Just like the story, the album begins rather cheerful and calm, and will slowly be diverted into angrier-stronger-sadder melodies, to the end.
Here's a description of all the tracks, it was a lot of work but I wanted to write it down for myself anyhoo -

____________________________________________________

1.Introduction (3:19) - Short Introduction (!) to the album, I think this piece kinda contains the basics of the music style that's shown through the album.

10 Instruments - (By Order Of Appearence)
Contrabass
Clarinet
French Horn
Orchestra Strings
Acoustic Guitar
Grand Piano
Pizzicato Strings
Tremolo Strings
Drums Set
Violin
____________________________________________________

2.Desert Bloom (3:32) - This is the first actual track, it's kind of a happy music, always makes me think of a desert being filled with water and flowers and stuff (something like Zeelich's rebirth ).

10 Instruments - (By Order Of Appearence)
Pizzicato Strings
Oboe
Contrabass
Clarinet
Orchestra Strings
Bass Guitar
Trombone
Flute
Bright Piano
____________________________________________________

3.Coming Of Springtime Storms (3:53) - Another kind of a happy-swifting music.

7 Instruments - (By Order Of Appearence)
Pizzicato Strings
Flute
Acoustic Guitar
Grand Piano
Clarinet
Orchestra Strings
Contrabass
____________________________________________________

4.Enchanted Skies (4:03) - Kind of a "jumpy" music, lots of woodwinds&piano combinations. Kind of happy as well, though not quite as the first ones.

7 Instruments - (By Order Of Appearence)
Grand Piano (Left Hand)
Bright Piano (Right Hand)
Orchestra Strings
Contrabass
Clarinet
Oboe
Pizzicato Strings
____________________________________________________

5. .Legions Of The Wind (4:26) - A kind of march, mainly woodwind instruments. The rhythm is slowly being taken deeper and deeper here. Sounds like an army marching on its way to the battle. This, btw, is a different and also longer version than the one I've posted here before.

12 Instruments - (By Order Of Appearence)
Trombone
Trumpet
Oboe
Pizzicato Strings
Flute
Clarinet
Taiko Drums
Contrabass
Orchestra Strings
Drums Set
Brass
Sax
____________________________________________________

6. Treason In Proxima Island (Overture) (1:16) - This is a short introduction to "Treason In Proxima Island", consisting of the piano part from the song, along with additional escorting chords. It used to be played by a guitar here, but I decided it sounds better with a piano eventually.

2 Instruments - (By Order Of Appearence)
Bright Piano (Right Hand)
Grand Piano (Left Hand)
____________________________________________________

7. Treason In Proxima Island (4:16) - This piece is the first piece of the second part of the album, kind of a "preperation to the war". Completely different form the songs in the first half, this song has a very strong melody with some power-metal elements, however still keeping the symphonic elements of the earlier tracks.

9 Instruments - (By Order Of Appearence)
Orchestra Strings
Choir
Oboe
Clarinet
Taiko Drums
Pizzicato Strings
Drums Set
Bright Piano
Orchestra Hits
____________________________________________________

8. Soul Conquest (5:43) - Longest piece of the album, and my personal favourite... A very LBAish piece, kind of music that just starts controlling you, thus the name. This one is actually a bit happy, yet still very strong, lots of drumming and a kind of African rhythm.

11 Instruments - (By Order Of Appearence)
Pizzicato Strings
Contrabass
Clarinet
Cello
Xylophone
Orchestra Strings
Trombone
Drums Set
Taiko Drums
Grand Piano
Flute
____________________________________________________

9. War In Dreamland (5:19) - This is kind of the peak of the album, a strong melody with lots of mood-changes, from happiness to anger and sadness and happiness again. Kind of supposed to describe the never-ending circle of war and peace. But that's only if you really wanna start getting into it.
11 Instruments - (By Order Of Appearence)
Orchestra Strings
Cello
Pizzicato Strings
Music Box #1
Music Box #2
Grand Piano
Trumpet
Taiko Drums
French Horn
Drums Set
Xylophone
____________________________________________________

10. Nightfall Requiem (4:24) - The last track of the album, kind of a "post-war" music. It's trying to describe the troops returning home victorious from the war, but the happiness of their triumph is not enough to overcome the sadness and grief of the great losses and the casualties. Once in a while you can hear a woodwind instrument trying to make some kind of a happy victorious sound, which kinda fades into the gloomy atmosphere of the music.
11 Instruments (By Order Of Appearence)
Cello
Music Box #1
Orchestra Strings
Music Box #2
Drums Set
Oboe
Tremolo Strings
Contrabass
Pizzicato Strings
Clarinet
Trombone

That's pretty much it anyhoo. I hope you enjoy this, and I'll tell you when I've recorded the full album (which I won't be able to post here, assuming I will publish it some day.

Re: My album is finally finished!

This will be the thread where I'll do the reviews.

Track1:
(3:19)[/b] - Short Introduction (!) to the album, I think this piece kinda contains the basics of the music style that's shown through the album.

Jesse's review:
Nice intro, creates a mystical sphere..would be great with real instruments. Sounds neat The minor problem is the drum part: It sounds....not in place but it could be the sample.
At the end it gets kind of confusing, because the melody changes a lot. Great arrangement though.

Track2.
(3:32)[/b] - This is the first actual track, it's kind of a happy music, always makes me think of a desert being filled with water and flowers and stuff (something like Zeelich's rebirth ).

Jesse's review:
Your music reminds a lot of these old rpg -snes music
I like the playfull style of this, something you can easily turn on and relax on..Remind me to get your cd when finished kay?
After 2 minutes this track gets great, it somehow seems you are the oposite of myself in the musicmaking style: Where I focuss on rhythm you can create really well this sort of 'happy' tune. This one is a lot better than the intro.

Coming Of Springtime Storms[/URL] (3:53)[/b] - Another kind of a happy-swifting music.

Jesse's review:
Sounds peacefull....I like the flute melodies.
The arrangement is once again good..strange though: You seem to make tracks easily without any beat in it...strange but interesting.
I liked the previous track more, but this one is good too.

Track4:
(4:03)[/b] - Kind of a "jumpy" music, lots of woodwinds&piano combinations. Kind of happy as well, though not quite as the first ones.
Could not download this one too bad

Track5:
4:26)[/b] - A kind of march, mainly woodwind instruments. The rhythm is slowly being taken deeper and deeper here. Sounds like an army marching on its way to the battle. This, btw, is a different and also longer version than the one I've posted here before.

Jesse:
The beginning still sounds somewhat happy...
Slowly indeed gets seriously...still the flute make it sound happy.
And when the beats start to get in it still sounds a bit too...too happy? The song itself is brilliant btw...it is really good. And it probaly sounds breathtaking when live.

Track6:
(1:16)[/b] - This is a short introduction to "Treason In Proxima Island", consisting of the piano part from the song, along with additional escorting chords. It used to be played by a guitar here, but I decided it sounds better with a piano eventually.
Jesse:
Sounds impressive, nice good intro what can i say?

Jesse:
So it finnaly starts to get serious this is sounds impressive...this is really top notch, better than I've heard before.
I like the melody get back in the end, this is by far the best thing I've heard at a lba forum this far.

I am tired now I'll review the rest later
