best album ever, and the 'suprisingly good new album you just discovered'

Well?

I'd say either:
Music for the jilted generation, or
Fat of the land.

new album:

Ommadawn, mike oldfield.

Great stuff ! This defenitely ispired me to do some serious music making!

Not sure if I prefer this over his tubular bells though.

Aw fuck, I'll put some more questions into it so it is different from other topics:
1. Album no 1.
2. Album newcomer
3. Music that affected your views on music/life
4. last album you bought.
5. Favourite tv theme
6. favourite film music score/producer
7. Favourite anime music.
8. favourite game music.
9. Favourite random unknown musician.
10. Favourite live artist.
11. Last track you've made (if you make music)
12. Favourite genre
13. Newfound genre you like to do something with.

1. Fat of the land (prodigy duh) , Powaqqatsi (phillipe glass, now who can say I am a musical babarian )
2. (newcomer as in you just discovered it) Ommadawn, mike oldfield
3. The Prodigy, Glass, beethoven.
4. 100th window, massive attack
5. Ehm no idea really, I liked that music for fame though (gonna make it to heaven blablabla), and the original dragon ball z intro, Cha la, head cha la.
6. From the matrix to starwars.
7. Till now gundam wing and some of the music ofthe ocean dub, especially on the end of the series (it previously re-cycled megaman music, but had more unique stuff at the end, great stuff).
8. LBA.
9. I am into Longplayers, into the stuff I make, into the stuff R.M.L makes. Kinda into 'Flint'. Especially into 'Neon' and other internet musicians. I MUST mention the lba remix by cs2x, and as well treason of proxima, by evyatar. I am into these two particular songs too.
10. The prodigy. If you have seen them live......
Try to find 'moscow Their law' on kazaa or something. Brilliant.
Glasonbury 95 was claimed to be the 'Best live show on the planet ever' , all the oasis fans left their show to check out the prodigy's show
11. Sundown for Arabia
12. hm, everything. Breakbeat/ambient/jazz/triphop/classical/hiphop mostly though.
13. Hm, I don't know what mike oldfield is, other than that:
Drum & bass, and jazz. Would be cool to make something with that.

Best album ever, eh? Can't really say for sure, but if I had to pick one record it would be Kent - Isola, beautiful record where the impressive lyrics (not in English) blends perfectly over a more impressive soundscape. I often find myself being inside this rueful world while listening to it. Recommended tracks (the English versions):

Livräddaren (Lifesavers)
Saker Man Ser (Things She Said)
Oproffessionell (Unprofessional)
Celsius (Celsius)
Innan Allting Tar Slut (Before It All Ends)
747 (747) - a.k.a 7:47 minutes of madness

That was more than half the album but what the hell . Well, check them out if you haven't.

New album... probably Popsicle - Laquer, just a jolly good indiepop album that I've played over and over the last weeks.

12. Oh God...ermmm...I like so many... I guess Rock tends to be most meaningful, so there, rock.
13. And I quote: "If only i made music, lol" Of course if i did, I'd say rock or some form of techno/dance
