Question LBA1 for DOS doesn't play MIDI music

I have a problem. I'm trying to play LBA1 under DOS, but something's wrong. I used the patch for LBA (I think Funnyfrog's), but the MIDI music still won't play. Why? This is strange. Before I reinstalled Windows (98 SE), the music played OK. But, when I reinstalled Windows (98 SE), the music won't work, although I reconfigured everything as it was before. Please, help!!!!

You don't need any patch to play the game under Win98. But need to configure the Music and Sound efects with your computer definitions.

Use Lbawin program to play the game. With this you don't have problems...

Yes... LBAWIN doesn't work as floppy version. And, the patch configured the setting itself (the patch containing the file VIDEOS.BAT, and PATCH.EXE. I tried other setting, but it doesn't work. There is something strange. And, if I don't use the patch, the game crashes after I enter any saved game.

Well... LBAWIN really doesn't work as floppy version, but it can still be cracked. Only, after being cracked, it will want to access the floppy drive (don't know why?), but still, it would work. Although, I recommend the HoP (Home of Pirates) patch (HOP-LBA.EXE), made in the 1998, to make it play the MIDI music using the Windows MIDI device instead of direct BIOS calls. Try it. You find it here: http://www.abandonware.com/lba/patches.

By the way: the patch is not illegal, since it doesn't "crack" the file. If you have the CD version, it will still say "No CD", if you try to run it without the CD. This is why I posted the address. Otherwise, I wouldn't have posted it. OK.
