LBA2 Camera Question
Do you guys know of any way to give Twinsen's Odyssey an active camera during the 3D enviroments? You know, a camera that would move with Twinsen's back? Rapping on the "Enter" button every 5 seconds has become annoying after all this time.

I already got used to pressing Enter all the time...
And anyway, I think some of the Modifications people mentioned something about that, maybe they will create some program to do that. |

I found it more of an issue in LBA1, just because in 3d you can see pretty far ahead of twinsen, but in the 2d isometric LBA1 your view is pretty restricted

the game would become too much like an arcade like platform game

Do you think the style of a game can change just by changing camera movement?

yes, very much

no.. it wouldnt really, twinsen would still be controlled the same, in a platformer the arrow keys move the character in relation to the character, but in LBA2 you only move twinsen with up and down and turn him with left and right, it wouldnt chage the feel at all

My real question is: if it was possible to implement, and if so, would it be difficult to do so?

well, I think the code would have to be completely added into LBA2 and it would have to work only with available resources... it would definetly be a challenge

Oh well, that's too bad. Maybe I can like try to find some sort of auto-fire style program that I can use on the "Enter" key, not like that would be effective for anything else but I like to experiment.

I'm not exactly sure what macro is, but you should check what it can do, I think it is some kind of "buttonpresser" which you give command do when and how often to press the buttons, I've never used it myself

If you do that, you will be unable to play properly, couse there is a limited amount of buttons you can press at the same momment. When you'll be trying to fight for example you might encounter some problems.

Oh yeah, press too many buttons and your computer will beep. Where does the beep come from anyway? You can disconnect your speakers and still hear it.

keyboard-lock has nothing to do with virtual key presses. It's a problem with the keyboard matrix. Buying a different keyboard might improve it.

Lefty, the beep comes from the beeper(a small speaker)on the mainbiard or in the case. And unplugging it doesen't stop the keyboard-lock, and you still can't press any keys.
Hmmm, El so basically if you press the enter key virtually, the keyboard-lock won't appear becouse it is a hardware thing?
