Darkflame: most impressive for what? It doesn't even work on Windows 98/98 SE (don't even think about Windows ME). Why this incompatibility? Not all of us can afford to activate Windows XP.

It will be impressive, when it will run on all of the systems I listed above.

Works on Windows 2000 for me, if it dosnt run on your system you have you have a word with him and try to locate the problem.

When something runs on mine, and i see something that impressives me i say so, i dont reserve my judgement based on compatability.

Brasileiro, let me say a few things.
-It RUNS on win 98 and ME. Just slower then on XP.
Also on some PCs the game don't run or has problems, and this does not depend only from the OS, but the whole configuration. I'm working on it.
-And since this is a Beta version. This means that there can be errors and problems, and that thay can be fixed if people and testers report them.

Zip drive incompatibilities

I want to share my experience troubleshooting LbaX, and since the trend these days is to make the threads inexorably long, I guess I'll just write it here.

After installing the game, the patch, and updated NVIDIA drivers, I tried to run the game. The LbaX logo appeared and, after a brief pause, music began to play. But then an error message appeared stating that there was no media present in \Device\Harddisk1\DR1, which turns out to be the moniker for my Zip drive. Apparently, a faulty Iomega driver (or operating system, more likely) throws this error during certain types of hard drive reads. The fix, oddly enough, is to reassign the Zip drive letter to a more distant letter (G or H, for example). The game and Map Editor worked great afterwards. Awesome job, mad! I love it already.

Well anywho, just wanted to mention it in case others have similar problems.

Keep up the good work, and hopefully it will be a great game.

I'm actually quite excited, when i first signed up nothing to do with game creation, or modification was on the forum, but now theres loads.

So basically it's gonna be a challenge to beat all these games at once.

O Brasileiro he is trying, and i hope the game you are making turns out good too, or what ever new projects you working on, because as you may seen around the forum, i am a big supporter of you work.

Do you think Fred would be comfortable knowing that the games that he made and the ones that he is so close to are being picked apart by us?

About Fred

May be if Mr. Raynal knows about that forum he could help with some ideas.Since everybody knows sthe complex situation around the rights of LBA,practically the third release won`t be a fact. But if from somewhere (or someone) he understand that the hope for LBA3 is still alive, may be he probably could share his experience and knoledge with us.Any way,he wouldn`t have any use of the scenario of LBA3.Why not someone from you guys don`t tell him about this forum, abut all of us?

Err0r?

When i start the game i see the LBAx logo for some time and then the following error pops up :

''Access violation at address 0051A78C in module 'LBAX_beta.exe'. Read of address 00000074.''

Then I can press ''ok'' and then it crashes to Windows.
What should I do? I have followed the instructions on ur website carefully and I have all the latest drivers, and I run Win Xp...
Thx...

I know that there are some bugs on the 2nd beta.
Some of them due to the rendering engine, that seems to run perfectly on some PCs and very bad on others, wih the smae OS and video cards.
Most of these bugs will be fixed when the 3rd beta will be out.
And yes the work is still in progress...

I don't even have a video card, I just have (on this PC at least) an Intel Graphics Adapter, right on the motherboard, and the game works fine for me.

Right, but it's certainly not as powerful as a seperate GPU on the PCI/AGP/PCI-E ports. If I had them on this PC, I'd put in a new card, but Dell rips people off.

Wait... Aparrently Built-In graphics card or chips can speed up graphic rendering by 3 times what PCI/APG can do!

Depends on the card.

You can even get top of the range NVidia graphic motherboards for serious efficiancy. (and they look funky too)
