Game music

I know this has been discussed a lot. Anyway

As usually I was playing all my game music in random order in winamp. I wen to the grocery store to by lunch. When I came back the LBA2 track "Zeelich" was playing and I instantly pictured images from Zeelich in my head, sort of a flashback. Great memories. The music wasn't playing quite silently.
There is not a lot of game music that has the same "effect", e.g. when you hear the music you think back of the game while playing it.

A few other games that have somewhat the same effect:

• Syberia (the first one)
• Daggerfall
• Serious Sam
• 11th hour
• Warcraft 2
• Command & Conquer
• Super Mario World
• Desperado's Wanted Dead or Alive

And maybe some others. But these are a couple that quickly came to mind.

What game music do you have special feelings with?

(hint: enqueue all your game music to a playlist and randomly play back a track and try to recognize what game it came from).

Ocarina of Time, LBA obviously.
Also one of the tunes from "The Wind Waker" is particularly good at making my hair stand on end.

The 'overworld' type music from Beyond Good and Evil also brings back memorys vividly.

Aye, same here. I still listen to certain tracks from GF every now and then.

The music you get in Baldur's Gate I and II is often very atmospheric as well.

desperados, jack jazz rabbit, monkey island (only monkey island 3 actually...), spyro, mortal kombat (damn i love that song), and ofcourse lba1 and 2. actually more lba2 than lba1, i never liked lba1 that much...

LBA (I think this has the gamemusic I love the most, the atmosphere is so unique).
LBA 2 (I love it),
FF7 (I do not listen to it really apart from the game, but the music is pretty good).
Chrono Trigger (some really good themes and there's a cd where musicians have their own take on the themes, that music is awesome).
Secret of Mana 1 and 2 (I always kind of like the music).

There's just too many games music I have 'special feelings' for. If you play me some music of a game I played many years ago and forgot about already, I'll probably realize I have special feelings for it.

oddworld series definately, as well as the early command and conquer titles (eg. CnC, Red Alert etc...) the neverhood and of course LBA.

Neverhood is quite an original game with rather odd music. Never really finished that game.

Come to think of it. It's not just the music of games I've played a lot, or games that I really enjoyed. For example the game American McGee's Alice, I liked that game a lot but the music isn't that great. Or the game Rise of the Triad, I don't really have special feelings with that music.
