Seven whole new pieces of game music.

Hey

Here is some moody and some tuneful music for Fireball 2k's new game.

A lot of it won't be to your tastes, since it is just there to be in the backround or set a mood. However, some of it is pretty good and I hope to have some feedback...

ALso, you may recognize bits of it from pieces I've already done before.

recognize HA! "Newtheme2" and "dangerlight" are complitly the same as "imagination1 and 2" (but that doesn't make it bad)

The two new themes were more like mini-themes, and weren't meant to be as epic as the main one....maybe they could be uesed in key moments?

Hey, newtheme2 has a small solo from Memory Seven

Liked this one, even though I have a certain general dislike of jazz-style music.

newtheme starts pretty nice, very original in a way... The drums are great and there's a very strange feeling to it.

IntroOrtension2 is really nice too... Very sad and melancholic.

IntroOrtension is even better... The drums are really great, and I love all the little effects, drums and musicbox... Wonderful.

Dangerlight is also pretty nice, and again very Memory Sevenish

And danger is plain CRAZY I liked the crazy note-blurring

and background music is, I think, the best in here... I don't know why, it's just very very moody, and would be perfect as a background for some rpg game...

Still, in my own opinion, these songs lack a little something which I can't xplain... It could be just the fact that it's midi...
But it's also that they're a little bit repetitive in style - which is perfect for computer game music - But I'd love to see you do some more "Philip Vachey" style music... Music that is a little bit less built on repeptitiveness, basic rhythm and long solos, but more built on... Mmmm, I dunno, whatever you call that feeling Phil gives ya

As I said, both song styles are great, it's just that I like the other style better, and since you definitely have potential and talent, I'd love to see you do something that's more in the style of, say, "Honey Bee"... I can give you "Reason 2" if you need it...

All of this music is hard to judge without playing a game to go with it. But anyway:

Backround music ~ Nice basic tune, I think it would be good for some sort of underground cavan, makes me think of crystals for some reason.
Could do with being a bit more stero.

Danger - A bit too repedative for my likeing, but its hard to tell without a game

Dangerlight - Much more interesting, nicer stero effect. One of my favorates

Tension - The start reminds me a little bit of some of the Perfect Dark tunes...actualy a lot...
Perhapes it gets a bit too disharmonic and "ambient" later on, but its very unique and I always like unique.

Tension2 - Quite nice, but I prefer number1
