About Twinsan

Don't think I ever Did introduce myself so I thought I may as well do it now.

Hi I am Twinsan, real name Ryan.

I am currently 21 years old and I am not like other people my age

I don't drink, i don't go to parties, I don't smoke or all that nonsense

I am an avid player of computer games namely runescape, little big adventure, spyro, medievil broken sword that sort of thing.

I am at glasgow university in my 2nd 3rd year ( was sick during both my exams so i have to do pidi again!) studying veterinary Biosciences.

I live with my family this year, due to it being pointlesss to pay for other accomidation.

I have a Aspergers Syndrome, so more often than not some people might take what I say the wrong way so no offence was intended.

I have been playing the little big adventure series since I was 5 to which lba 1 was my first real game, which took 6 months to complete with my father.

Thanks for this thread! I now understand you 95% better
I only needed to know you had this form of autism, with which I'm familiar with, but I couldn't figure it out over the forums.

I bet there is a justifiable reason somewhere. The influence might have come from somewhere else, or it's just an accent that's similar to American but comes from your surroundings. I study linguistics so this kind of thing fascinates me.

I often speak in Scottish dialect but in my English accent, especially when I'm around Scottish family. This makes life interesting!

As above, good to know you!

On a random note, do the Scots pay the same ridonkulous university fees as in England?

I always have a bit of a laugh when Dutch people around me say "ASS", when they're really referring to the group of disorders that Asperger Syndrome belongs to. It stands for "Autistisme Spectrum Stoornis" (autism spectrum disorder).

There's a lot of these terms, ASS, PDD-NOS, ADD, ADHD, it's really interesting. But I'm most interested in this "savant" thing. It's a person who's brain has been incapacitated for an incredible amount of social (?) functions, which enables them to use all of their brain power for a single purpose. Awesome

LOL! In Dutch that actually translates to something almost valid to "people with autism"

"Burgers" is the plural for a person... Weird that language, no wonder I don't like it very much.

It always reminds me of the classic holiday special, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," with the character "Burgermeister Meisterburger."

However, if I were to go to a Scottish university I would still have to pay ridiculous fees. Life is not fair.

And English universities don't have to do that at all.
I don't know if you realize you're trying to be Scottish nationalist with a Scottish person.

As if he means to justify every miscommunication by that? That's not what he meant.

Hey there good to.know u better I guess. The American accent thing has to come from somewhere. Like Mia I study linguistics too, and things like this are not random...perhaps you watch many American movies and you absorbed that accent... or you secretely prefer thr USA over Scotland maybe. (long shot)

It may have got something to do with getting some kind of subsidies or something.
Having been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome does have this benefit sometimes.
