I was supposed to see it on Friday, but not.
But no big deal, like I said yesterday, for me LotR is just pretty fights for 3 hours considering I know the story.
I have all of Hanuka, or I'll wait for the hype to end.

I'm very much excited about seeing on friday
My favourite trilogy comes to an end.
I too know the story, but i'm gonna enjoy the movie like hell.
Also, I saw Minas Tirith, it is SO like i imagined it

Oh btw, I do hope they leave the pyre of denethor out, those kind of scenes are kinda gross :/
They'll probably add the scene though..

Yes! I cannot wait to see this film! Although I hope it stays loyal to the book as much as possible, someone told me of rumours of an Aragorn-Sauron fight scene :X. Most likely bs that though and I shall see it asap.

I will see it tomorrow. According to the extended DVD of the Two Towers there will be a flashback scene to when Gollum first finds the ring.

OK then... spoilers (as if that makes a difference anymore).

It was good, but there was no conclusion to Saruman, and no Scouring of the Shire! I know that 'the Voice of Saruman' should have been in te second movie, but it should have been somewere, and Grima Wormtongue wasn't even mentioned. That was incredebly annoying, since those two are my favourite characters, and the ending was aletdown; too 'happily ever after' without the Scouring. Hopefully these two scenes will be in the longer cut of the movie.
Shelob was great! She was certainly big enough.
Sorry Gustav, Sauron's Leutenant doesn't appear, but Denathor does burn quite dramatically (but did not seem to be involved in any palantri).
Overall, it wasn't a good adaptation of the books, but it was the best movie I've seen all year, and should at least be nominated at the Oscars.
Aragorn doesn't fight Sauron, which is good.

I can't see The Return of the King until I've seen The Two Towers. KNOW THIS, that my sister watched the second movie one day before the evening of the first entertainment. I'm not lying, she worked in a burger-restaurant which allowed them to watch it in cinema. What a sneak entertainment.

Yes, I heard that he would think of Deagol and then be found by Sam.

Anakin: The Denethor/Gandalf/Pippin stuff in Minas Tirith was my favourite part of ROTK when I read it (along with the final chapters but they are probably not included, except the grey havens) so I wanna see it hehe.

Note that I didnt read Luke2414190251295's post since it might contain spoilers .

Bushmeist: That rumour is probably very false.

A little suggestion:

There's nothing surprising about Luke's post if you've actually read the post and know of "sharku's" (methinks that is it, can't remember the exact name) later corrupption over the Shire.

I SAW IT! IT WAS WONDERFUL! AND GRIPPING! SADLY THERE WAS NO MOUTH OF SAURON, BUT HE WILL PROBABLY BE IN THE EXTENDED VERSION! (I heard Bruce Spence will have his role). Saruman will also be in the extended. But who cares about the mouth of sauron? The best thing was Gollum's cheating and how he wielded Frodo. Very good done. And then Sam came back! Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh! And it all ended happily, yes, yes. Very nice. The scene where they were laughing like psychos was also very well done. Very nice very nice!!
Also I added a warning to the thread title.

They are quite, erm... feminine in the first two movies, yes. But I try to think back to the Hobbit era when dwarves were trendy.
Is there any news as to whether the Scouring ill be in the Extended version?

A great movie indeed. There are some parts I didn't like though, for example the Gollum trickin Frodo to leave Sam behind and such. It was lame 'Hey, someone threw the Lambas bread' blahblah, I understand Frodo mind is 'clouded' because of the ring but come on. Besides, I've heard it wasn't like that in the books. Oh, and other very annoyin thing, the 'I'm not a man' and she kills a Black Rider. Like, wtf? It was totally lame, I expected a nice scene of Gandalf fighting him, earlier in the movie he actually talked like he is going to do so.
The end was awesome indeed. And I've heard about the book part when Saruman taking over the Shire and that Grima Wormtongue kills him, I'm happy it wasn't included, it's pointless. And why would Grima Wormtongue kill Saruman anyway? What is the reason for it in the books?

THE MOVIE WAS FINE, FINE, FINE!

A very enjoyable and gripping movie.
I don't mind the neglection of the scouring of the shire, since it was indeed kind of pointless.

And the pyre of Denethor was quite amusing

---------
Bomba -> If i remember well, it was because Saruman kept pushing him around, and putting him down, or something like that.
