Thumbs Down LBA 3 may not need an powerfull system!

LBA 3 may not need an powerfull system!
Because titles before has not need an powerfull system, lba 3 may only need a 200 Mhz pc, ho ho not to fast! Or I get the P3 ready.

I hope it will work on all system's of our LBA fans.
If it can't can run on my Celeron 300MMX, I will: sniff sniff, !!

Well, nowadays games need a lot more than a 200 Mhz and nowadays the newer ones need around 512 MB RAM with a high end graphics card (GeForce 4 Ti4600 etc.) Today, a game with graphics like LBA2 that would work on a 200 Mhz Pentium wouldn't really score that well We know that gameplay, not graphics is what counts etc. but there is a limitation at which the developers have to stick to

Yes, it will always need more than 200 MHz.
I'm not sure what the average is these days (haven't bought any games for a while) but I'm sure it's much higher than that.
And they haven't even started on the game so by the time that it's finished there will be better computers so I doubt you can run it on your Celeron.

Well, LBA1 and 2 are both coded very effiently.
The minimum specs for LBA2 are quite impressive considering the graphics.
If LBA3 is made by mostly the same people, it will be fairly low spec as well.
The exact specs will depend on when its realsed.
I mean, 800mhz seems about avaerage now, but it will be very low indeed in a few years.
----
Of course, LBA3 might also appear on a console.
Fred didn't like the PS2 much, but he was a fan of miyomoto, so a Gamecube (/Hypercube ) version is possible.
Xbox is dead easy to convert too as well.

Well...i dunno..

It's true the first 2 titles had very few requirements..

I dare say lba3 won't need more the 400 mhz tops.

400Mhz? Hmm, depends when it is released like DF said. They would have to acheive a certain level of graphical quality according to the standards of the games at the time.

depends on when they start on the game. If they start now, the game will be finished in two years (or so), then you most likely need a new machine from last year to run the game (in a desent fashion).

oh crap, i forgot what i was going to post.

i'll leave it here and edit it when i remember, shouldn't take too long...

i can't remember but anyway i'll post something new
oh.. umm......... *thinks*...... i can't remember again!
I remember that one now
well... games don't seem to require an 800MHz processor currently... they are still somewhat low... higher than my nachine though :-(
generally around 600 or 650, am i right? I generally stopped buying PC games because i stopped playing games. I'll stick to my gamecube.

I think people once claimed LBA was kiddy... so then the ignorant people could argue LBA 3 would most likely go to gamecube *Mwa Ha Ha*

I remember the first thing i was going to say now.
oh... no i don't..... anyway

Can LBA 3 have the system requirements of GTA 3?

My computer do accomplish with this:
Celeron 366A Mhz
160 MB of ram
GeForce 2 MX200
8X16X32 colors
WIN 98 + DOS 7
Opti Snd 933

My pc was powerfull enough for high-end system asking games, but don't think GTA 3 will work on my system!

GTA3 works fine on my GeForce 2, but your RAM and processor is pretty low for today's standards. It's usually the graphics card on your system which determines how a game runs, more than the processor speed.

No you guys, offcourse LBA3 would have very high system reqs. Look at Trium Planeta for example, coming Christmas 2003. IT will require at least 256mb ram and 64 mb graphics. The average speed will probably be around 1.2 Ghz. Wake up guys, this isnt the dark ages any more, its 21st century!! Games arent going to get lower specs, theyre getting higher.

Dude, we don't know anything about even if there's going to be LBA3, and when. If it will be published in 4 years, I'm sure it will require more than GTA3, but before that time you'll probably have a new pc also.

A release date? Hm, if it's 'too soon' to release screenshots, I don't think they could have decided a permanent one for sure

Pandemona> 512 MB RAM is slowly becoming the standard now :P

Thanks wacko.. i remember what i was going to say, because you said a part of it for me.

i'll say it again though!

There is no reason to believe there 'will' be an LBA 3!

i don't think a lot of you are reading into the e-mails corectly. Even if they find a publisher... there's still heaps of problems... and what the heck, they might not even want to make LBA 3! they could use T.P. as a way of extending the LBAverse but in their own way.

give up on wanting LBA 3. Want TP instead, after all. you know that's definately going to come!

Well, let's see, if LBA comes out the soonest in 5-6 years, that would mean it would come out on the X-Box 8 (v. 264.3-17)

Leviat> "The heaps of problems" at the moment are that the companies have only just started up. They'll need to complete at least one project by themselves before considering teaming up with another company. As far as we know, the rights issue is not a problem now. Fred is willing to work with Didier and vice versa, just give them time to start up

My own minimum requirments(if LBA 3 comes out!):
Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz
512 DDR MB RAM
WIN XP HOME
GeForce 4 MX460 64 mb ram

I can really smell the system requirements of LBA 3.

And just why not the GC? Fred is a fan of Miyamoto and prefers the GC, so he will (if an LBA3 is made)

Even if he is a fan of the cube
they would pick the gamecube because it's the easiest console to develope for, that's if it goes to a console...

i wonder if the game will be in widescreen format!?

Hm, I thought the Xbox may be even easier to develop for than the Gamecube., but the GCN is easier than the PS2 The Xbox has DirectX is basically similar to a PC. The PC is the easiest to develop for so the Xbox might be the closest thing.
