Twinsen LBA 2 Goofs

OK, here's a list of the LBA 2 goofs, in perfect IMDb-style. A list of the LBA 1 goofs will be made soon.
  • [Continuity errors]: In the intro movie, the pub Chez Luc has the LBA 1 look. In the game, it has the LBA 2 look.
  • [Continuity errors]: In the intro movie, Twinsen and Zoe' are sitting on a bench on the beach near Chez Luc. It's the same becah from LBA 1. In the game, the beach is gone, and the bench as well.
  • [Factual errors]: The statue of Twinsen and Zoe' is in the wrong part of Citadel Island in LBA 2. In LBA 1, it was in the park in front of Chez Luc. In LBA 2, it's in the park behind Chez Luc.
  • [Factual errors]: The mountain behind Twinsen's house is too different from the LBA 1 mountain, and there's a path (to the lighthouse) where in LBA 1, there was a mountain.
  • [Factual errors]: The ruins that the game marks as the ruins of the Citadel, are in fact the ruins of the house of the sick rabbibunny in whose chest you find 25 kashes in LBA 1. It's obvious since the ruins also have the frame of a door, which not only has the shape of a house's door and not that of the Citadel's door, but it also faces towards Lupin-Burg. The Citadel didn't have any doors which faced towards Lupin-Burg.
  • [Continuity errors]: If you go to the giant spider's cave after having freed Raph, the spider is still there, although Zoe' must have killed him in order to get to the Tralu's cave.
  • [Continuity errors]: When Bob asks Twinsen and Zoe' about their child, he's in the scene near the pharmacy. He's never in that scene in other occasions.
  • [Factual errors]: The LBA 2 Citadel Island has an entrance to the sewers near the sea, but not one in the park in front of Chez Luc. This contradicts the LBA 1 Citadel Island which has an entrance to the sewers in the park in front of Chez Luc, but not one near the sea.
  • [Factual errors]: On the LBA 2 holomap, the wrong island is marked as Citadel Island - that same island is marked as Proxima Island in LBA 1. Citadel Island is in fact the other small island near it.
  • [Factual errors]: No-one on Deser Island, except Baldino and the old man on the roof of the Hacienda seem to know Twinsen.
  • [Factual errors]: Although the Protection Spell is a part of the game, it's never mentioned by anyone in the game.
  • [Factual errors]: The LBA 2 Desert Island is missing the part of the island where you land in LBA 1.
  • [Continuity errors]: Even if you somehow mangage to go to Otringal city when you're on Zeelich for the first time and without the translator, you can understand all people.
  • [Continuity errors]: Joe the Elf betrays you on Zeelich even if you don't free him from the shell on Desert Island.
  • [Continuity errors]: In the movie, Twinsun is peaceful. After the movie, Twinsun is invaded by the Esmers.
  • [Factual errors]: Everything behind Twinsen's house is strangely not guarded (except for the Sups near and on the lighthouse).
  • [Continuity errors]: Although Twinsen and Baldino escape on Baldino's vessel from Emerald Moon to Zeelich, the vessel is not on the moon (.ILE/.OBL), nor even on the holomap.
  • [Factual errors]: There's water coming from behind the Casino of the Glooms on Otringal. But the current state of Zeelich made it impossible for water to exist.
  • [Factual errors]: After you land on Zeelich for the first time, it's not possible to come back to Twinsun. This would be impossible if it happened in real life.
  • [Continuity errors]: When the two Francos recognize you on Celebration Island, all of Zeelich starts chasing you. But being no radio station or something on Celebration Island, how could they possibly alert the whole planet so quickly?
  • [Factual errors]: There is a Mosquibee army working for the Emperor which attacks the Island of the Mosquibees along with the Francos. But the only Mosquibee ever seen outside the Island of the Mosquibees is the Mosquibee dissident.
  • [Factual errors]: According to LBA 2, stones, steel (the Ferryman's boat), wood (wood in the mine) and even cloth (Wannie's glove) can float on the lava. Actually, stones would sink, steelw ould melt, and the wood and cloth would burn once in contact with the lava.
  • [Continuity errors]: Some objects simply disappear throghout the game - the Wizard's Diploma, Itinerary Token, etc.
  • [Continuity errors]: The rooms in the Emperor's palace change whenever you go through them - even between when you go into the palace and when you go from the palace!
  • [Factual errors]: There was a statue of Dark Monk, full of antennas, etc. inside the lava on Celebration Island. Actually, such a statue would have already melted if it was inside the lava.

Enjoy it.

Hehe
That's cool.
You should consider submitting it to IMDb's Little Big Adventure page

I never understood why IMDb have pages for computer games, most of them are almost empty anyway.

Actually it's nice they have those, I think though they should put it under new "Interactive" genre title of movies.

(Continuity) In the ending video, the statue Twinsen's standing on is completely different to the statue seen in the end of LBA1. The land around it is also much smaller than it is in LBA1.

I think this is a factual error. How can a planet have two suns, with one sun per side of the planet? Isn't it so that a planet always circles around a sun but how can it circle around two when both suns only warm up one side of the planet?

Because of the Hamalayi mountains we can assume that planet rotates from north to south or from south to north.

Sniper Master:
Twinsen never stands on a statue. It's the well of Sendell. Anyway, the seal was broken so they put a new dome like thingy on top of it.

Darkflame, I remeber watching that short movie you made and I remember that I didn't understood it .
For me the only way for Twinsun to have a night, would be to have the Emerald moon block the sunlight somehow. But it would have to very close to the planet, for it to block the light totally, and they would have a very short night...
So the moon would have to circle the planet very fast, so the days and nights would be very short. Geeez, could you imagine the impact on a primitive culture when they would have an eclipse every 2 hours ?
Or Twinsun could be very high above the ecliptic plane, but then again it wouldn't look like the thing in the game...

Well, it's no wonder that it was good excuse of the guys to not make a night effect in the LBA games. However, it would be interesting if the two suns orbited around Twinsun. You know about the "solar system" theory from a greek in the ancient times?

I think that they would actualy "orbit around Twinsun" but not becouse of the mass of Twinsun, but becouse it is in the center of gravity of this system, the suns would spin around a central point I think, or, the larger Sun would orbit the smaller.

El_Muerte > Well, I meant the dome thing was the statue. But the island around him is much smaller.

That's from the original, and if you look at the LBA2 movie shot from the same location, the tall spire has gone along with the large cliffs around it - and the land where the construction site and Funfrock's fortress was.

You're nitpicking. Many of the goofs you brought up are just things they didn't take into consideration when making the game. Obviously they didn't expect you to reach Otringal on the first time in Zeelich. Also the thing about the giant spider, we all know enemies respawn when you enter a scene again.

Joe the Elf betrays you on Zeelich even if you don't free him from the shell on Desert Island.
He didn't betray Twinsen, he's just a dumbass.

In the movie, Twinsun is peaceful. After the movie, Twinsun is invaded by the Esmers.
I didn't get that one.

There's water coming from behind the Casino of the Glooms on Otringal. But the current state of Zeelich made it impossible for water to exist.
Well, if there was no water at all, they would probably die. You don't know if they have some water purifying system.

After you land on Zeelich for the first time, it's not possible to come back to Twinsun. This would be impossible if it happened in real life.
Huh?

Actually this always bothered me. He meant that when you steal a spaceship to get back to Twinsun, you see a movie of Twinsen landing and in the background you see people act peacefull and kids play as nothing happens, but right after - the esmers have suddenly taken over.

(omg I'm using Windows Magnifier at x6 and I still can't read easily)

Who said it was water? Maybe it's liquid clouds.
Besides... why wouldn't water exist. It even rains when you call the ferryman in the undergas.

So you get a better overview of what productions voice actors were in, especially if they also acted in movies.

He knows that. What he said was a response to a goof that I then removed exactly becuase of this reply of his - I said that Baldino got into the statue with his shuttle although that was no way in the statue. So El said the statue actually has an opening in the back.

It's not "impossible", the game simply doesn't allow it.
Just like it doesn't allow going to any island other than Citadel or Desert islands.
