Twinsen Hi, about LBA 1 (my first thread)

Hi, im new user here.

I played LBA 2 since i was a small kid, its always been my favorite pc-game ever, nothing will EVER surpass that game.
I am hungry for more, but as far as i can se then the future is looking dark, those game creators sure takes their time, but thats their case.
Anyways, i would like to play LBA 1, or rather: I have always wanted to play it!

Does anyone here know where to buy it?
A danish or european seller would be preferable.
And i dont want to be directed to some ebay-like arch-american high-commercial site/fuzzy thing (you know what i mean)
And by NO means i want to be directed to anywhere where i can download it. I WONT DOWNLOAD IT ILLEGALLY! THAT GAME DOES NOT DESERVE SUCH A DESPITABLE FATE!

Thank you in advance

No problem; I was struggeling with the excact same problem a few years ago.
I didn't want to download it, but I also didn't want to use ebay.

I hang up a note at the supermarket nearby, "could anyone help me find LBA1?". Within 5 days I had a response (I totaly forgot that note! ) from a kind man, he said he'd drop by in a hour. Later on; I heard a big motorcycle in front of my house; with a big grumpy man on it

He gave me the cd (oh no more games 3! (or something)) and he didn't want to be payed for it

So: just try a way to communicate with your invirioment; loads of people have LBA1; but just forgot it.

Hm... sorry, didn't see the part about No e-bay like sites..

Have you tried Googling it? It seems rather tough to find, though you may have more luck than me.

Have you seen this site?

You seem to be a very social person

. Back in Topic.

Say me one reason you cant download it or at least buy from ebay. Or just paypal raynal and download it, would be like buying it when the year was 1995, ten years ago.

Hi,

I don't understand, I thought LBA 1 & 2 were classified as abandonware weren't they?
By the way, you can download a ripped version of LBA on "Lost treasures". Try googling it, I don't know if I'm allowed to post its url. There's just one problem : this version of the game is only in French (it's a french site).

@ChaosFish : I don't understand why you erased the link in wiggin's post. French Kiss offers games all published before 1997 and they all (well, perhaps most of them) respect the abandonware definition. Feel free to erase my post if you think it is not suitable to the site's rules. But the fact that both "Lost Treasure" and "French Kiss" are continuing to distribute free games such as these on the internet, shows that they're not warez sites (There's a strong anti-warez policy at the moment in France).

There are not classified as abandonware and for this reason it's illegal to dwld it.
The MBN is a kind of fan club of LBA, and when you're a fan of a game, you don't dwld it, you don't help people to dwld it, and plus the forum shiva doesn't want to have problems with illegal dwlds. So what Cf have done is good.

Eh... I'm sorry.. but... what the? I don't understand this post at all...

On-topic: I think that paypalling the creators and downloading it is a perfectly good solution... Though I'm not sure what you have against E-bay...

I think what he said is: "welcome to the MBN, anyway. I don't know where I've got LBA from, because I was young when I've got it".

I know people on here would be willing to hook you up with a download, but buying it legitimately is probably going to be unsuccessful. Getting it in a local shop is probably 1:1000 odds, and online, maybe 1:100 since you aren't going on Ebay.

You don't want to download the game, and we can respect that, but you're going to have a hard time finding the game for purchase without ebay or some other 3rd party seller.

Even if you manage to find a place to buy it, Fred most likely won't see a dime because it'll be from a 3rd party.

This is a nice quote I found...

Ummm.....I'm going out on a limb here...but do your friends have parents? Maybe they would do it for you....also.....aren't you're parents willing to help?

If not, we'll write em' a letter about the MBN law that says "a child thirsting for excitement and entertainment shall not be denied his civil rights to attain a copy of and play the Little Big Adventure and any of its sequels both past and present...violation of this law is subject to cruel and unusual punishmens such as having a rabibunny grope you or have a dream date with Zed"....err...never mind..... - Yuric and Double-J

The time has come when even I, the hardcore, die-hard LBA fan that I am, have to admit that downloading a full version of Relentless is an acceptable thing to do.

Technically, it's still not abandonware, so it IS illigal. However, seeing as how it is one of the (and in my humble opinion, it IS the) greatest game of all time. So go ahead, check out some source and see if you can get your hands on it on-line. As long as it's the full-version, I approve your misdemianer
