The first picture seems more bland and gloomier than the second.

I still think they could have improved it with better color saturation.

But I don't really care too much. I got used to LBA2's external scenes rather quickly.

About Zeelish: Temple of Bu could have also had a depressing atmosphere due to it being a closed up tomb with skeletons, and bloody traps. And yet, the place looks really nice.

I'm seeing that I'm not the only one that prefer the LBA1 grafics . LBA2 exterior scenes was a bit... hmmm don't find the better word.

I nice thing will be remake LBA1 and LBA2 with LBA3 engine. That could be awesome.

I do not find lba1's look really happy, there's a sense of greyness and darkness in my opinion. But it does make it less 'cute-ish' and at some places it looks beautifull. The colours seem darker, or less 'toy' like. See Twinsen's tunic...in lba2 it is all shiny and plastic.

The scenes in lba1 that I really like are for example funky town..the green sewers had a neat colour.

Zeelich's background music is also a bit more gloomy, maybe that is part of the cause.

Axx, as you're a bit close to Fred, how do you feel about LBA3? Have you any hope? I know Fred's kinda positive about it, but what odds do you think he'll actually pull that one out?

REALLY? VRAIMENT?!

That's fantastic news.

I've just discovered this site, and it's great to see that I'm not the only one who's a fan since the very beginning and who hasn't forgotten this game!

LBA never was outstanding in the gameplay. I think it's the storyline that got me. I just felt like it was the only game I ever played that was a real adventure, and it's a thing that has been lost even more in recent games.

LBA's storyline was strong, and I got into the story so much that I redid the games countless times, hoping for a third game for years. After playing a game you just feel like talking about it to your mates and it's really exciting. You want to do it again and again.

I've never felt that way about any other game. Oh and not to forget the great interface, and the fantastic music. I hope they use similar music from the same composer for LBA3. And I hope it's call LBA3 accross the world.

Axx - if you're really trully close to Fred, please let him know this: I have great hope in his game's success, and if he does it in the same spirit fans won't be disappointed.

I don't mind more advanced graphics, but I want the interface to be the same (top view in 3D).

Also Arthur looks a bit silly with his board, I hope it won't go too much into a teenager-type game but will keep its innocence, fun and all-round good story. I know remakes almost never live up to the originals, but I had face in LBA2 and despite being worried by the idea of having Aliens in it, I wasn't disappointed...

Twinsen

I think that people who create games nowadays are more worried into getting players to shoot people and about high-end graphics (which isn't always achieved!) than about storylines...

Also, I hope that LBA3 is released in UK, France, America etc. I'm just worried it won't be if it's produced by some random Russian company or that the budget won't be big enough to have a proper big game which will be well-made and long enough...

PLEASE put my mind at rest and answer all that - and don't wait two weeks to give us the release date!!
