programming

Well I just started working a bit on starterstuff in C# and played a bit around in NetBeans (a program to design java programs). Do any people here have a little experience in programming those languages? I'd love to see what people can do.

I made a Google Toolbar in NetBeans, to go with my html editor. I ended up accidently planting it in NetBeans itself Is that open source or what?

Kind of odd that you might be programming - let's say the car of lba2 - and without you realising it instead of putting it in the game you can drive around your 3d editor interface.

I want to learn C# myself. Do you think it would be the best language to learn?

My first impression was that it was a good start to learn programming.

The thing is that the Microsoft NET framework seems to be more efficient and faster than the Javaframework. But I also think that at the moment Java is still a very populair language.

But that's reading other people's opinions on the matter. I have barely experience myself.

C# was develloped to be the microsoft replacement - and to be better - of Java.

one language is as good as the other one (with exception of visual basic or any form of it)....

Learning a language is one thing, the easiest part of learning to program. The other part involves an certain thought pattern and an analytical mind to solve problems. Or at least, if you want to program properly. If you just want to create things like 75% of the rest of the world does then learning the language is enough.

According to some test I am a numberical logican. It's been a while since that test though.

Actually it's kind of weird they added more results later on. Guess it became a free service later on. First they wanted money for the full test. I see I scored low verbally. That's not so weird concerning it is an english test.

Well what do you mean by a certain thought pattern?

A way of thinking, the way to analyse a problem, decompose it, figuring out possible solutions
