MBN is back, baby or so they said. Shall I tell you what MBN really stands for, however? Are you sure you can handle it?...Fine, I’ll do it. Are you ready? It stands for: Mighty Bad No.
My Bad (is) No! Why is My Bad No? Why is the bad no more? It is because a new LBA album is coming! I expect nothing short of an album to restore world peace and prosperity. When illuminatis, criminals and 1% hear it, the music will bring them to face the Thruth, they will brake down on their knees, cry inconsolably and ask for forgiveness. They will instantly give away all possessions and power, abdicate, and start living on the streets in ragged clothes and dirty faces in an effort to redeem themselves for their wrongdoings, crime against humanity and injustice. Even if you meet them, and forgive them, they will not believe you, and go out of their way to express (cry more) how unbearably sorry they are. Some will even offer suicide. But their redemption lies not in such feeble escapes. They know it. The only way is to wander the world and help any injustice and uproot malice with no pay or gratitude. This Little Big Adventure album will be played every morning on radios, humanity will mend their ways, the aliens will look upon us from heaven and smile approvingly. The LBA creators will ascend to become the Star Childs (like Bowman in Space Odyssey). The dark matter will disappear, the universe will stop expanding, and become warm and hospitable. Ancient Little Big Adventures will again smile upon us.

The visuals are not overwhelming, but really contained. Of course you should be in bed already, but if you stay up and push through, even half a tablet will cause the interesting perceptual distortions. It’s like the “judgement” side of the brain is turned off, so anything you do is funny and memory and social comprehension goes strange, and again, in terms of seeing, even words roll off book pages as you read. And other gentle, repeating hallucinations go on. Even the hairs on your legs (if you have hair on your legs and the place is warm enough to wear pyjama shorts) will “swirl” and move around once the Ambien kicks in, but always in a repeating manner, with warn feelings - never unpredictable; always wrapped in a warm protective layer of sedation. Yet it still always seems surprising, too - especially for something so commonly prescribed

Hi ChaosFish and hi all!
I've been thinking about this forum recently. I spent some time in the Netherlands this summer (which I really enjoyed) and for some reason while in Utrecht I recalled that the Dutch folks had a meetup there, all those years ago. So it brought me back here and I've been kind of back lurking around again these past few weeks. It's crazy to think 20 years have passed since I was an 11 year-old kid posting here. Reflecting back on things, it's made me realise that the MBN was somewhere I came for comfort at that age. I actually felt like I belonged somewhere at a time where I didn't really fit in anywhere else. I mean, I was a pretty weird kid. I don't dare check out my post history. I'll leave it there for the Internet archaeologists. ![]() I have some pretty good memories here. I remember many members being very nice to me. For example a lot of the music I was really into at the time came from StarmanDX! I also remember getting along well with Homeless, I think? And Elliptic was also very kind to me. And I also had some fun times on IRC, I remember some of the older #lba people who taught me how to behave online back then ![]() I mean, everyone was cool, I'm realising there's actually loads of people I remember! I'm just reminiscing here ![]() Also, I was saddened to learn of DF's passing. I'm now 31 years old, living in pretty much the same area as I was back then, about 30 km from Paris. I work as a community pharmacist. Still haven't cured a Dino-Fly though. The last couple of years have been pretty tough obviously on the work front. I've struggled with anxiety and burnout, it's not quite over yet but I'm doing better. Even though I eventually stopped visiting the forum so much, my love for LBA lives on and I'm stoked about all this recent news! Anyway, I hope to hear from some of you again. If you're ever in Paris, hit me up and I'll show you around and we can get a beer or something. |

Hey man, glad to hear from you! Sometimes when reminiscing about the forum I thought of you. The MBN is truly a special forum, it seems everyone who was a poster here remembers it fondly. |
