Audio Track in LBA2

Hi everyone, I'm in need of help!

So I began to translate LBA2, so nowadays I'm running the game more frequently than ever, (if it's possible ) but I have a problem with it. I remember having this problem before under windows with these new, fancy CD drives that will always stop working when it's a matter of life and death
(Sorry I got carried away ) So whenever LBA2 enters the menu it is supposed to play the only audio track on the CD right? Now it doesn't on mine, maybe once out of every 254th try. (So it hasn't happened in the near past ) But that's only when I'm lucky, otherwise it will just freeze and wouldn't stop trying to spin up the CD until it finds the audio track, which will just never happen. Is it totally dependent on the CD-ROM, the CD (just got a bad copy) or can it be solved?

I'm desperately waiting for answers.

Well, you could make an image of your LBA2 cd on your harddisk and mount it with Daemon-Tools, that way you can play LBA2 from a virtual cd. I'm using this method myself for LBA1 so I don't have to use my original cd, and it's faster too.

Yeah, sometimes the easiest way comes last in mind, and even then only with help. Thanx!
By the way, can you put up the audiotrack as well?

If you make a 1:1 image, ofcourse the audio track will be copied too.

some are protected in a way, you have to make an iso of them first and then burn them (at least, that's how I've been able to override most protections)

But if you can copy them 1:1, then there is no problem

Anyways, is it only my CD, 'cause there seems to be only a very small skip area between the data track and the audio track and that might be a problem, or is it with all the copies?

Well, I haven't the slightest clue as I had never used a virtual CD drive before (you know, no space for that) What tha? A UFO! Did you see that? But I'll try, that's the only way I guess.

Probably not, since its most likely the surface of the disc that is bad, not the data.

Yep. When for example an audio cd is really scratched and can't be played in an HiFi set anymore, you can very often still rip the tracks with a cd-rom, in fine quality. Especially most cd-rw drives have very good reading quality.

My Diablo 2 Expansion disk was just plain BAD, no drive could read it, turned out it was a data problem...but my CD-RW so far hasn't done anything special...I tried ripping the tracks off an Ozzy Osbourne CD that had some kind of funky problems on the bottom of it, and it only ripped the first couple of good tracks.

Yeah, my LBA2 is the same. It has done this from the moment I bought it and I miss the music sooooo much!
