Car problems in LBA2

I recently played LBA2 (again) using Funnyfrog's patch under Windows XP SP1. The game ran fine but the buggy refused to steer when going forwards (but works fine backwards). I was able to make the jump by aligning myself correctly by going backwards. Did anybody else encounter this problem?

Well, I'm playing (just to spare time) LBA2 for the, I think, 200th time. I'm playing it under Windows 98, without any patch. And I have the same problem. And, what's more, I don't get this problem under DOS, only in the Windows version. Why? El Muerte please help.

Hello, Morshem. It is commonly said, that there's no solution to the car bug problem. There is a solution:
use the European .EXE file (LBA2.EXE, 616448 bytes, EA), or the Brazilian .EXE file (TWINSEN.EXE, 616960, GT Software). Those two versions don't have this bug. I played them and it seems everything is OK.

nd, by the way, is there any way to inverse crack a LBA2 ripped version to not work without a CD anymore? If so, tell me, how. P)

Are you sure you tried the European version? There are some versions, that have the file LBA2.EXE, but, which is from the U.S. version, just renamed. Check the file size. It must be 616448 bytes to work. Maybe your brother doesn't have the same version that you have. Be sure about what you are doing.

No, really, I copied the SAME files, the SAME exe and the SAME everything from the SAME folder, onto my bro's comp and into the Empty Lba 2 folder he has/had. The car worked FINE until I played Lba 2 on my comp, the car got useless.

There is software for that: try "virtual cd"(version 5) or the nocd-crack, or a combo of those two.
It worked for me!
Are you guys sure the LR-steering works fine in reverse?
