Twinsen File3D format...

Since it's needed to discuss the File3D format and the differences between the LBA 1 and the LBA 2 File3D formats, I'm now opening a thread for this.

Anyway, here's my take about the differences between the LBA 1 and LBA 2 File3D formats (from what I know about it).

Anyway, the LBA 2 one is not really different - the only difference is that each LBA 1 item starts with usual HQR information (uncompressed size, compressed size, compression type) while each LBA 2 item not. The actual entry format is the same for both LBA 1 and LBA 2 - except for the model number (= index of BODY.HQR entry) which is byte (unsigned 8-bit) in LBA 1 and word (unsigned 16-bit) in LBA 2. All the rest is the same.

The difference is that the LBA 1 File3D data resource is a .HQR file, while the LBA 2 is not .HQR but it's something I call a sub-HQR library. And sub-HQR libraries are resources inside .HQR archives which begin with an offset table. Example: LBA 1/2 font, LBA 2 File3D data, all TEXT entries in TEXT.HQR, etc.
