Soul Bubbles Demo currently on Wii DS channel.

Just a quick heads up to let wii-owners know.

You might want to add in which region. I haven't heard of it being in the European Nintendo channel. They could even be different for each country here, considering that they translate the videos. (but not localize the demos)

Yeah, I found it now. For some strange reason it was added to the bottom of the demos list instead of the top as usual. That's sad, many people might overlook it this way.

Does the DS have wireless/broadband connectivity? I'm wondering why Nintendo would have the download setup through the Wii rather than the DS itself...it would seem more convenient to, if the DS had the capability, to sit in your chair and download right on the DS rather than have to connect it to the Wii, download to the Wii, and then transfer to the DS...but maybe I'm missing something (I don't have a DS).

The DS has wireless connectivity to other DS's and the Wii, and games may have Wi-Fi connection, but the DS operating system doesn't have an internet connection integrated. It also can't be updated. That was fixed with the new Nintendo DSi that was released in Japan already - it offers downloadable DS games, both free and for Nintendo Points.

Hmm, okay.

I'm actually surprised Nintendo doesn't want to get into the sort of pseudo-blackberry type stuff with the DS, it's the perfect size for it. They could get an internet browser and even perhaps make a phone out of it if they wanted. The stylus is already used for this anyways on other devices.

But that's what they're doing with the new model. It will have a built-in Opera browser as well as two cameras, its own system storage, an SD card slot, a music playback function, and a picture-editing program. The only thing it doesn't is act as a phone. And play GBA games.

The main problem is the DS dosnt have any onboard flash memory, therefor in order to run a game demo, the game has to fit completely in its Ram.

Not a problem for a typical DS game demo as such, but if you had to also had to fit into the ram the whole intenet, IP, browseing and downloading protocals there would be nothing left for the game

So yeah, the DSi fixes that.

But really it dosn't bother me having to go ver the Wii for game-demo's as there isnt that often a game I want to try. The Downloading on the Wii side is a bit slow though.
