Most memorable Lba moments

Here's a thread where we can post the moments during our lba experience that were the most exciting/memorable etc.

Basically, parts of the games you would play through multiple times and not get bored.

Personally, i really enjoyed going through the construction site in lba1

and the going through the esmer base before going to the moon.

Himalayi mountains with the rebels! And the very start of lba 1 in the jail and the first scene outside. In lba2, island of the wannies and citadel island at the begining.

My most memorable moment is with LBA1, when I finally managed to get LBA1 working under dos.I had to learn how to write autoexec.bat and config.sys files, and then I had some old speakers I used but the cables where pretty shabby so they kept disconnecting (they weren't soldered to the speakers, only wrapped around the contact points). It was real guerilla-style playing.
I had some old ess or oss sound card, and a 4x cd drive...

You can't imagine the satisfaction the game gave me when I finally got it to work...

When I finally got LBA2 I had to delete windows 3.11 to have enough space for it, but it wasn't the saame as LBA2...

Yeah, I remember playing LBA 2 on my old 166mHz machine back in the day (which was balls deep, I can remember hours of playing Dark Forces and LBA 2). Getting LBA 1 to work was a challenge though, I remember the sound card menu being problematic, I had to randomly test a bunch of cards before it worked. I think I had a Sound Blaster that wasn't listed, and I ended up using a Turtle Beach driver on LBA...weird.

I played LBA1 on DosBox on my Mac but tbh LBAWin is the best way to enjoy the game, it fixes a lot of problems the original game had. Obviously that's for Windows, but my point is that I don't really like playing it outside of LBAWin anymore.
