I knew Old Ninty would be defended like no tommorow. Well, let me ask you something-Imagine if Sony decided to scrap their amazing MGS2 demo, and make it a pathetic looking cartoon-ish game, worse than the previous version-now everyone would be slating the PS2 to death. That's what the new Zelda is:A step backwards from the N64 versions(which were great) and it alienates all avid/older Zelda fans, full stop. Nintendo scraped their amazing style at last years Spaceworld, and made their new crap. Why........I don't know. Need for Money?

CS2x-
A) Ninetendo make more money from games then sony.
B) Sony don't make MGS
C) The GC is much easier to develope for then the PS2 (although X-Box is even easier
--
Why?
probably to demonstrate the GC single-pass rendering system It allows cell-shader graphics to be smooth and crisp.
The PS2 can't do this at all. (the X-box can, as demonstrated by JSR-Future)
Cell-Shading is much harder, and takes more processor power then normal rendering. It sounds funny, but its true.
--
Again, your missing the main point.
Sony games SUCK!!!!
There machine is an underpowered-overpriced-unoringinal-betamax like-piece of crap.
Sony are rellying on almost 100% third-party support.
Nintendo make enough money from first-part games to survive.
The GC support is massive compared to the N64, perticuly in the RPG sector.
Some 3rd party Companys who are making GC games:

Sega (Sonic Adventures,SMB,Virtua Striker,PSO2,Crazy Taxi)
Capcom (a Resident Evil game)
Namco (Tekken,Soul Calibur)
Tecmo (Dead or Alive game)
Koei (Dynasty Warrors)
Konami (Crash Banicoot:WotV)
Left Field (1080-2,NBA courtside 2002)
Silcone Knights (Eternal Darkness,Too Human)
Factor 5 [a Lucas Arts subdivision] (SW:Rogue Leader,Thornado)
Acclaim (Turok,BMX2,some baseball game)
EA (sports,sports,more sports.....)
THQ (WWF thingy,Tetris
Kemco (Batmanark tommorow)
Midway (something)
Bioware (possible Starwars RPG)
Inforgrames (Duke Nukem)
Ubi Soft (Rayman Tribe,RAINBOW SIX:RS, some disney stuff)
Titus (Robocop)
Acclam (extream G3,Shadowman 2)
Confounding Factor (Galleon [looks very good])
Eurocom (secret)
Swing (Creatures,Knights)
Silcone Dreams (unnamed)
DMA ( GTA-3)

Not exactly a small list is it?
--
You also keep going back to the interview quote.
You fail to quote Mr Miyomoto:
"We never have made a game for children....were not going to make 20-something spacfic games. Rather, our aim is to make games that apeal to both children AND parents"
--
Finaly CS2x, you keep saying how good the SNES days where.
Yes, they were.
Because it was Nintendo vs Sega. Two great software companys trying to beat the other by making BETTER games.
People didn't care how "Childish" the games were...no one said "A blue hedgehog? isn't that a bit childish?"
People just enjoyed the games.
It is only since the "Playstation" generation that people care about style over content.

i know LBA is a french made game and all, but are the English language voice over actors french? i mean i know Insektors is french and also made in Maya which rocks it doesn't actually mean it was him, but i really think it was. by the way, why doesn't LBA have any credits to the VA's in the game's credits.. it seems to acknowledge the game's creators and that's it. Oh and Darkflame, what is the person's name who does Twinsen *sorry if someone has mentioned it and i missed it*

I believe it was the first 100% CGI cartoon but I may be wrong.
It looks like there going be a reboot TV-movie soon.

oh, i saw reboot.. i didn't like it. it was one of those corny shows that tried to be funny... give me Beast Wars any day.. i remember watching the first episode and nearly every episode since then, untill the 3rd or 4th season. and yet again, possibly because of me, what we're talking about in here has nothing to do with the thread's topic.. which states the gamecube is really crap and for little children but in nicer words... BUT THE GAMECUBE ROCKS!

Reboot wasn't very funny, but it had very cool plots. Perticuly from the 2nd series.
The computer world they created was very detailed and the charecters where quite good (Not the main one's, the sub-charecters like Phong or Mike the TV).
--
Where not off topic at all because.......
When a game decended on Mainframe in Reboot it was called a "GameCube"

Haha, you're right DF! Man, funny one

I like(d) Re-boot a lot, it was cool, too bad they don't show it on Dutch TV anymore (although I THOUGHT I saw it one time on RTL4, in the past 2 months, or so...)
