If you have the PC version, it automatically saves when you move to a new screen.
If you have the PSX version, it should be in the menu. There's quick save that lasts as long as your PS is on, and there's an actual save that saves the game state on your memory card.

Because LBA1 save automatically you can copy the save you're playing. Go to the Menu and you're find an option to copy the save games. It's the only way you can keep old saves.
