Question Has anybody seen The Never Ending Story? (84)

Has anybody seen The Never Ending Story (84)?

I seen it, so I try not to compare this movie with LBA too much:

Both Atréju and Twinsen takes out on a long journey in a magical far away land (That both can be our imagination!)

Atréju has Falkor, and Twinsen got his Dino Fly

Fantasia is ruined by The Nothing, and Twinsun is ruined by the Emerald Moon, if Twinsen do not survive!

There are many fantastic creatures in both the movie, and the LBA game

And what if Bastian came to Twinsun?

When I was little Neverending Story part 1 was easily my favortie movie. Cause I remember watching it all the time. And I dont think theres all that much of a connection between the two.

I saw a little part of it a few months ago.
Never really liked that movie...
Traumatic, like the Labyrinth.

I've actually noticed that connection, and I totally agree.

Funny!
I've seen part 1 and another part of one, something with one memory for wish.

Where's the LBA parallel with the large-breasted sphinxes?

(The conceptual artist must have had hormones coming out of his ears.)

Yes I have seen it , and Nr 2 which is not as good as the first one.
But as always the book is much much better , read it.
The author is Micael Ende , he has also written Momo , about some mystical men stealing "time" from people.
All I can say is read those books.
Uncle Fromsej.

I thing your connection is a bit farfetched.
TNES is a great story (so is Labyrinth) but if you start comparing the LBA story line with the TNES you are doing something complete useless. If you stip down any story to only the basics you can compary alsmost any story with eachother.

I really liked the story line, but I thought that the movie itself could have been done a lot better. Even for its time period.

I saw it when I was little, and don't remember much about it. But yeah. (It's a French film, isn't it?)

It's in English with a lot of American actors, so I'd go against it being French.
