Transformers 2
Can be described as a "Michael Bay cliche". Explosions, teen movie grade humor and love story. T2 is better than T1.
Some major negative points:
  • PG-13 rating: no blood, barely any duman casulties (which is really rediculous)
  • Story is not connected to the original story of the Transformers

I hope you mean Terminator, because no way Transformers 2 was better than 1.
  • The script was pretty messy. Transformers 1's wasn't a masterpiece but it was more comprehensive.
  • Nicer character were ignored because of others (Bumblebee because of those retarded "brothers", Megatron because of the useless Fallen).
  • Pointless characters (did we really need Sam's new college roommate?).
  • As much as it was nice to give the Transformers some character (Starscream <3), it resulted in some really awkward moments (leg humping, farting, the brothers).
  • Some way too big plot holes: Spoiler:
How did Megatron kill Optimus if only a Prime can kill a Prime? Why couldn't Optimus come back to life the same way Megatron did? Why not use the piece that cube from the first movie?

It was still fun to watch, but I was definitely disappointed after I was more impressed with the first movie.

The Langoliers - Nice! I liked the guest appearance of Stephen King himself. Also it didn't scare me, but gave me a very claustrophobic feeling. Just like any other Stephen King story, for that matter. Pretty poor acting.
7/10

Watched The Terminator (first one) last weekend. It amazed me, how they could make a movie with minimal story and dialogue and still stretch it out over an hour and a half.

The first transformers was also full of plot holes, and dumb scenes which don't make sense at all. But that's just the quality of Michael Bay. The second movie just had much better action scenes and explosions, the humor was also better. On a Michael Bay scale the second movie is better than the first.

In "Some way too big plot holes" I meant that in comparison to the first movie this time they were too obvious (I can usually get past plot holes pretty easily).
I agree about the action bit, humor wise I think they're pretty much the same, only that in the second movie they seem to be gone at some point while in the first movie they were all over it. That and the fact the story was messy and the awkwardness of some Transformers make it worse than the first.

Oh and also I just remembered that "vision" with all the Primes, it was just so cliche (even if you take into account the rest of the movie).

I enjoyed the humour of the first film, but the robot fighting scenes actualy just bored me.

Mutant Chronicles
Forgot that I saw this one before. It's ok, I'm just very annoyed by the ridiculously stupid actions of some of the characters. They risk the goal multiple times, and instead of making it, they fuck up too.

The Spirit
Quite nice, in the true style of 300 and Sin City (duh, it's by Frank Miller). I liked it.

Lesbian Vampire Killers
Could have been so bad that it's fun, but instead it's just a mediocre boring semi horror movie.

17 Again
The usual feel good movie, with a bunch of awkward moments. Its watchable.

I *just* downloaded these exact two movies.

Then it's just weird. Or maybe these 2 were just "scene released"?

Lesbian Vampire Killers - Cool movie. It's so good at being bad at being so bad it's good it's good. (seriously)

17 Again - Also cool movie. But sometimes I wonder if American schools are really like this. The jocks, the cheerleader squads, the nerds who get shoved down the toilet? I'd like to think it's all Hollywood bullshit. Compared to this, Israeli teenagers are enlightened. No such thing as cheerleaders in high school - it's foul, and I've never heard of anyone whose got his head shoved down the toilet, etc.

Drag me to hell
Very good horror movie, it's like evil dead or poltergeist, but not made over 20 years ago. It's not like those crappy hollywood movies, it's a horror movie as they should make.
But, a note for caution: watch out when seeing this movie in the theater, the rest of the audience can be a serious nuisance

Isn't this true for any movie?
(I shall watch Drag Me to Hell)

Joe Somebody - Nothing too special, but nice movie. Also nice to see Claire as a gifted child and not a dumb cheerleader.

Or an annoying babysitter (she was in Malcome in the Middle quite a few times).

But at least in Malcolm in the Middle she was a funny and unique character. She was annoying and evil but at least she was depicted at such. In Heroes she's depicted as "good and kind" and even "smart".

Piano no Mori (Piano in the Forest)

Japanese animated movie, similar to The Girl Who Leapt Thru Time in some aspects, however it lacks characther depth and overall dialogue quality. Very annoying sometimes, but still quite entertaining for anyone who likes piano music, classical ones particularly. As the title says, it's about a kid and a piano and his dream to become a big major pianist like his family wants him to, opposed to this other kid he meets who plays for pleasure and not because his family wants him to.

I give it 2 stars. I'd give it more if it weren't for the non-sequitur dialogues.

In other worlds, they put a message inside an asteroid to protect it while it travels through space to reach some other planet. In this case it is a gift, a guitar, rather than just a message.

It was never this annoying... I haven't seen that many horror movies in the theater. And it's difficult to enjoy a horror movie when there are a lot of people in the room who can't take horror movies.

Transformers 2 - 6/10 - overall ok movie Spoiler:
The main character is complete a**hole to Bumblebee who saved his life many times, whines throughout the whole movie, then the twins, funny at times can be annoying, overall there are no likeable characters in the movie, special effects are cool until the end bits where it's overkill and theres not even a major fight scene between the fallen and optimus.. it's an ok movie
.

Public Enemies - 5/10 not very good Spoiler:
Lets go rob a bank, theres 4 million dollars there... oh no we only got 4,000 dollars.. lets go rob another bank, theres 5 million there.. oh no we only got 200... the end

Harry Potter: The Half Blood Prince - I'll write a full review later. But, apart from some plot details concerning the title, its actualy a pretty superb film.
Great direction especialy.

Got to see it.

Saw Ice Age 3 in 3D (Dolby 3D...)
Movie is fine, 3D is still rubbish. The effect provides no additional fun, although the glasses are slimmer it's still a useless gadget and they are uncomfortable. Colours are little bland too. Considering the tickets for this "privilege" are more expensive it's absolutely not worth it.
