Darwinia
A lot of fun. Started sunday and just finished it.
Way more fun than Warrior Within (which I still haven't finished).

I absolutely positively really REALLY adore Darwinia. It's just so satisfying to slowly go through one island at a time clearing it of virii, picking up souls and converting them all into Darwinians, all at your own pace. And the visuals are just stunning.

I've noticed though that after extended sessions of playing the constant swarms of red souls floating in the skies would seriously burn themselves into my retina, causing me to see them whenever I would close my eyes.

Anyhow, picked up Resident Evil 4 on GC today, after searching through 2 towns for a remaining copy. Now that I have a Wii plus the necessary accesories I can finally experience all the GC goodness I missed, and so far RE4 rocks

Yup, Re4 rocks indeed.
And this is comeing from someone that wanted to hate the game

Be sure to pick up
Paper Mario 2 (probably the best RPG on the platform)
and
Eternal Darkness (slow start, admitably, but once the game gets going its really got a kick-arse story and some very original gameplay)

Second hand both those games should be fairly cheep.

oh, and of course, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones

Already got those last two for PC, but I'll be sure to check out the others if I can find them.

EDIT: Phew... finally finished LBA2 just now. A great sequel to a great game

Cheap? Where do you buy?

I'm planning to get PM 2 and a random Mario Party for GC, but they're both >= 40€ at eBay.

Symphonia is lovely, but its also very repedative in places and its certainly very traditional
PM2 is non-stop crazy fun and quite original.

Tales is of course, bigger, however.

Second hand game or gamestation.
Cheap = £10ish.

Probably ED will be cheaper then PM2...anything with "mario" in the title will cost more second hand

RE4 just keeps on rocking - beat El Gigante after about 3 failed attempts, rescued Ashley (dumb broad keeps getting carried off by the Ganados tho ) and fought off a horde of Ganados in the shack with Luis (or whatever his name is - the Spanish ex-cop). I hate those Ganados that mutate when you blow their heads off - freaky stuff.

More progress on RE4! Creepy Beard Guy is out and (after dozens of failed attempts to shoot out that DAMN TRUCK'S TIRES) I've made it into the castle.

So far, the game is pretty neat, but it does have its flaws. For one I HATE the "hit the right button to avoid being killed/hurt" bits, since you regularly have way too little time to figure out what button to press and when. Also I HATE the fact that you can't sidestep and need to constantly just blindly run around and use the quick 180 turn instead. And finally, I miss the freedom of exploring you had in the earlier RE games.

Other than that however, it's another deliciously disturbing and bloody action fest.

I think I'm gonna start Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader tomorrow.
From what I understood it's not the most amazing game in the world or anything, but I love Fallout's SPECIAL system and the pictures look nice so it's worth a shot.

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy ~ This is great, but it has some quite hard passages. And I lost a good hour of gaming today because I forgot to save.

POP WW
finally finished it, had the "alternative" ending. Or rather the normal ending since most people don't manage to find the water sword. It would have been nice to fight the Dahaka.
anyway... it's now behind me now....

Playing POP T2T right now. So far it's much better than WW but I still like SOT more.

Yeah, I was annoyed past a certain point you couldnt go back and get all the health. Bad design that, imo.

Gotten started on Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem on GC yesterday. Creepy vibe so far, kinda Dreamweb-ish even. I like the combat system, though it tends to get a little hectic, but the story seems to be pretty good. All in all I'm definitely gonna keep going on this one.

As for RE4, the damn catapults won't give me a break And Ashley isn't helping much either.

Actually, the fight with the Dahaka is simply too hard. I played the game twice, the first time I fought the empress (she was hard to beat, but it was still possible), and the second time (using a walkthrough) I found all the life upgrades and fought the Dahaka.

Feels like an MMO while not being one?
That kinda strikes me as bad...dosnt that mean your just doing repedative tasks needed to level yourself in certain stats without having the social contact that actualy makes them playable

Or did you mean something else?

Dahaka's a piece of cake once you figure out his patterns and if you've mastered your time powers.

Fallout 2

Completed the first one a few days back (after some solid blocks of playing all day, I've been very bored) and moved onto this. And I've already become a porn star, got a car and slept with a number of lovely ladies

Man, Fallout rocks (Also: awesome avatar and little text below your username, Lenny).

How did you play the game, brute or brains?

Heh, I was also a pornstar, in fact my karma said I'm a complete whore.
Enjoy New Reno, it's my favorite location in the game. Well, that and San Francisco.

A bit of both, I've got some high small guns skills (just to prevent me from being annoyingly impotent) but I've put my main points in stuff like Intelligence, Charisma and Speech. It's all about the dialogue (and the sexytime).

Heh, I think I've got the same. Porn Star and Gigolo so far.

I did a bit of that, I got through the first three fights by just pumping myself with buff drugs. I haven't done what I think is the last fight, though. You lose one charisma! I love my charisma!

Also, I had to kill some guy in NCR but every time I hit him the police would burst in and cap my ass. So I set the timer on a piece of plastic explosive, pick pocketed the guy and put the plastic explosive in his inventory. Boom! Truly awesome.
