The legend of zelda: ocarina of time, The legend of zelda: a link to the past, The legend of zelda: links awakening, The legend of zelda: oracle of seasons, hocus pocus X (it's an rm2k game i'm making, it doesn't have a battle system so it will be mostly about riddles, items, places, good story and good programming, but it has a CMS)

You mean real adventure or action/adventure?
Anyway, real adventure is of course Simon the Sorcerer (the 2D ones) and The Longest Journey.

Liamlightspeed - Tombraider isn't adventure...but I'll leave that for El to argue
--
Adventure games are hard to classify, but ones that I consider the best are:
LBA1 and 2 (well duh),
Zelda: Lttp,
Zelda: Ocarina of Time,
Zelda: Majoras Mask,
Zelda: Links Awaking,
Legend of Zelda (ie, NES version),
Dark Earth,
Mercenary: Escape From Targ/
===
I love Discworld/Monkey Island games, but I consider them point and click. (even if they are 3D and you don't actualy P&C anymore :P)

Hmm... I see some pretty odd ideas of what constitutes an Adventure game...

For me: Quest for Glory. I loved the three questions of Erasmus! The most effective ripoff of a Monty Python sketch ever.
