This thread is going to be an ongoing work in progress that charts my journey through the game, having not played it in about 10 years. The format will be as follows: I will play the game in chunks of about an hour every few days, maybe per week, then write up my thoughts on the matters. First post to be up shortly!

So, I dusted off my LBA2 CD (that I found at a jumble sale by chance about 10 years ago on holiday in Devon, England), it having been sat in a disc rack for the best part of a decade. The reason that I stopped playing was that we got a new computer about 9 years ago, and I hadn't re-installed since then. But I had played and completed the game along with my dad (I was about 9 at the time) and really enjoyed it, much as I had it's predecessor a few years before.
All I remembered about LBA2 in any great detail was as follows: *Twinsen was a bald dude with a ponytail and a pregnant spouse who lived on a little island full of rabbits, elephants and walking smilies. *He had a car like Noddy's, but with a gun on it. *There was a flying personal dragin thing involved, and at some point it took you to a giant invisible space maze. *Dogs, cactuses (cacti?), dustbins, crows and bats aren't trustworthy. *Wandering through peoples houses, the sewers, workshops and saunas isn't frowned upon. That was about it. Seriously. Oh and that wavy arm thing that he did if he ever picked anything up. So I installed it. Which worked surprisingly well. I didn't expect such immediate compatability, but the game installed in about two minutes. Then I booted it up. Ah. I certainly didn't remember the game looking as though it had been through an egg-slicer. The whole display was skewed into separate ghost images made up of strobe-stripes about 5mm top to bottom. That's a problem then. I check out the first aid section of this (frankly wonderful) forum, and extract funnyfrog's fixes for sound and display, then reboot the program. Wow. The game's visual style is as charming as ever, having aged remarkably well to say what era it's from. Because the characters are charicatures and the locations are comic strip simple, it works remarkably well, really easy on the eye. Can't wait to play it! Session #1 to follow later!

![]() You should post screenshots too with your next bits, seeing as its pretty easy to take pictures from the games. Quote:
