New WR - (53:40:80)

Hi guys I've just achieved my goal of beating my own WR of (55:05:05).

While I was running, I started dropping frames in OBS and the Twitch stream stopped. Fortunately I was recording the whole thing locally. I've submitted my run to SDA yesterday and will add it to Youtube and Twitch once I get over audio syncing issues, I'm getting from the Twitch video.

Troubleshooting - https://discuss.dev.twitch.tv/t/vide...nc-issues/8481

SDA Video - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4i6d8y32l...stHsL07va?dl=0

I'll be submitting on speedrun.com as soon as I have the exact time from SDA.

Thanks everyone

I just finished watching it. Congratulation, overall it's a pretty clean run, it's very entertaining !

If I'm not mistaken, you lost time :
  • bonking your head onto walls (in the warehouse on the docks, in the Bù temple on a wall, before the carrot (it made you re-enter the previous zone), returning to the catamaran in the hamalayi, when you returned in the hamalayi, and I probably missed some at the end)
  • bonking your head also in the Bù temple on the first boulder and on the statue, but maybe that was a strat to loose health and die early after the mecha pinguin ? If so, why not take a hit on the fire ball when you're waiting for the mecha pinguin ?
  • before "talking" to the stones where you get the flute (pierre de l'éclipse/scélée). I think you place yourself to die early in the water, but I feel like you lost time here, no ?
  • getting the key to the mutant factory that felt into the water
  • destroying the eggs (but considering what a pain in the ass it is to do, still good job on this one)
  • jumping on the tree in the hamalayi
  • getting stuck after getting the key from that white grobo
  • in the inventory. You lost time searching for the clovers at least one time, didn't you ?
  • destroying the last teleporter with the magic ball
  • making Dr. FunFrock fall into a quick and clean death

Still, very impressive how you speerunners can keep concentrated during a one hour run and make so little mistakes. Again, congratulation ! ^^

I'm definitely loosing time by hitting walls, but running 1 hour without never happened to me yet. If it's not happening here, it'll happen there!

No because the door would close.

  • before "talking" to the stones where you get the flute (pierre de l'éclipse/scélée). I think you place yourself to die early in the water, but I feel like you lost time here, no ?

I definitely got issues with both stones. I got stuck in them and loose some time there.

  • getting the key to the mutant factory that felt into the water

Yep but not a big amount of time difference.

  • destroying the eggs (but considering what a pain in the ass it is to do, still good job on this one)

Yeah these eggs are crap on a run. Still pretty happy from what I pulled out.

  • jumping on the tree in the hamalayi

Usual route, no time lost there.

  • getting stuck after getting the key from that white grobo

Definitely sucked. Happened just once before. I'll definitely know what to do next time!

  • in the inventory. You lost time searching for the clovers at least one time, didn't you ?

I'm still loosing time in that inventory, mostly at the second part of the run.

  • destroying the last teleporter with the magic ball

Didn't lost a lot of time there, but yes you can see me struggling. Not enough practiced this part yet.

  • making Dr. FunFrock fall into a quick and clean death

That's actually the saddest part of the run. The only failed glitch. I'm disappointed of that one!

Still, very impressive how you speerunners can keep concentrated during a one hour run and make so little mistakes. Again, congratulation ! ^^
Thanks for your comments man, really appreciated!

Congratulations! Very impressive

I believe I do still hold the world record for both LBA1 and LBA2 crawlrunning. 1.5 year for LBA2 and ~2 years for LBA1. Beat that!

Hahaha! Took me probably 10 year to complete LBA 1. I was 4yo when it released and never been able to go out of Bu. Then we had a new computer where LBA1 didn't work on it. Then years later they released LBA Win and I've finally finished LBA 1 by myself. Still I hag seen my brother and father completing it.

Done I've beat you

Congratulations man, very nicely done! Big improvement on the time! Great fun to see you're still at it and making progress. Hopefully I'll catch a stream sometime.

Looking forward to seeing it submitted to speedrun.com. If you have trouble getting it verified quickly once up, let me know and I'll have a look.

EDIT

I've finally gone through the whole process of submitting on SDA. Good news it have been accepted and the new run on SDA will represent more the new route and glitches. Unfortunately it'll take up to 6 months before the website is updated.

So I've went on and uploaded it to Youtube and submitted it on speedrun.com which have been accepted there too. The whole speedrunning notes are available in the Dropbox link of my original post.
