MULTIWINIA released.

Just thought I'd give a heads-up to those wanting an original RTS game, and supporting a independent developer while your at it.

Multiwinia is a multiplayer focused sequel to Darwinia, and you can get them both this weekend for 10GBP/13euros/$16;

http://store.introversion.co.uk/prod...products_id=59

If you buy them on Steam, you get Darwinia for free.

I really recommend the games. While they arnt best-thing-ever great, they are fantastic value for money at the moment, and almost all the money goes straight back to the creators.

I don't understand how you guys care so much about the cost of a game. Isn't your time you put on playing the games always 10-100 times as much worth?

The foam darwinians remind me of those foam cube puzzles.

Postpixnexplanationsplz.

I didn't get your description. Is it a new or an old game? What does it set apart from other RTSs like StarCraft/WarCraft or Age of Empires?

Its a new game, and its very very different from traditional RTS games. Its less about the building side of things,and more about directly controlling the action.

Its closer, sort-off, to games like cannon-fodder.

As for screens, well, thats also quite different;

You can get a demo of Darwinia here;

yep, but it's a cool special edition, 50 euros (including shipping) isn't that expensive for 2 great games and a lot of stuff. It's not cheap, but at least I know introversion gets most of the money.

If by suck you mean "the shit", then yes, it is.

Yes, but I already got a boxed Darwinia.

Would be nice to know how much they are getting from each sale as a percentage. I'd like to see the difference between download and boxed for them. (are they making the boxed version themselfs? or ver another publishers?)

Yes, odds probably the right word for it.
Very expiremental.
Some things work better then others (the gesture command system was replaced with a option for astandard button one in a later patch for instance)...but it has a charming story, nice diversity of levels and quite fresh gameplay.
I found it just the right difficulty too, not too easy like many rts things.
