My bet is on France, I think they'll beat Argentina in the finals (if that's possible with the schedule).

I want England to win, but we have too many injury problems in the midfield... so I think Italy will win it. They're probably the best European team at the moment. They'll beat France in the final 2-0, and get revenge for Euro 2000

Just trying to see if it will give the right result, I tried transilating the spanish part again (to get it I transilated from english right) and it gave me this:

France already have Pires ruled out and Henry is doubtfull and I am not convinced by the erratic yet brilliant Barthez.

Btw.. I think that fromsej did not include Brazil's 1994 victory,since he regarded the whole north and south america as one continent. Cause otherwise also Brazil's victory in 1970 and Argentina's in 1986 (Both in Mexico) would have been included too. So 1958 is the answer.

I wasn´t very excited some days ago, but my nationalism got up again when I saw that a british guy (those bastards! ) wrote a book called "Futebol - The Brazillian Way of Life" and says that Garrincha was probably the most skilled player of all the times.

Hmm. Spain have fairly easy group... but then again, for the past few years they've had fairly easy groups and messed up completely. But then again, they are in the easiest half of the draw, and should really get to the semis, given the strength of their squad. But then again, they always do crap.

Belgium or Russia might do quite well. They've got a very easy group, and in Round 2, they'd avoid the best teams (apart from errr Brazil). Whoever wins Group H could get to the quarter finals quite easily.

I think they do have an official team. I remember reading an interview in an Israeli soccer magazine with their national coach, Azami Natzar (right spelling?). But I don't think they participated in the qualifying games.
