I was at gamescom but only visited the non-commercial part. Was he at Gamescom? Would be awesome! Goddamn if he was i should have looked around better...

I felt kind of depressed today but this news made my day. Damn fred always looks so young! Never changed since LBA1

He's a programmer, right? Always the best excuse for everything.
He's probably created a little program that slightly alters the optical quality of his visage, such to maintain that illusion. And he's like, mwoahaha.

In that vid he doesn't talk about the most interesting aspects of the game

I was thinking, we could donate as a group then split up what we get... We could ask for a collector's edition with Twinsen as the hero

I'm open for that idea, but I'll be donating myself separately too.

Wonder why they went for this funding platform specifically...never heard of it before.

Probably because it's a french one, which most likely reduced the amount of formalities that had to be performed.

Sounds like a great idea, I'm up for that! The game looks like it's worth it. Those voxel sprites are just boss!

And this way we can support the mobile release of LBA2 on mobile devices too, because every little kashes counts

I really hope for their success!! If it succeeds and LBA crowdfunding campaign may finally be considered as viable.

Also ignoring the fact that the game is made by Fred and I want to support his efforts, the game looks really interesting and the graphics have this nice retro style that I love.

I'm really happy he's doing this

I saw the news the other they in their web site and for sure reasons ignore the raise funding post.

It is really interesting to see them going into that path and hope they succeed.

I do plan to donate separate myself but I do like the idea of group donation from the forum. Now the question is, how can we raise such thing as a group?

Also if we manage to raise 5k as a group, are we all invited in Lyon?

Although I dont think we're gonna land at such a figure, let's say 25 a person, with 20 people joining in? That's just a small 500 euros...

You're forgetting, some of us can donate more than that.
Disregarding my limited methods of transfer, I could offer like 40% of that 5k.

I dont think you can expect them too accept everyone when the reward is only meant for one person :P

If we club together we gota figure out precisely what we want though - the rewards for naming stuff or placing a random object for example.

I was not exactly talking about the reward, because it's actually impossible to give that money even if we collect together. It was just another excuse to meet us there, since we didn't make it when LBA1 mobile version was released.

A random object seems nice, but I'm sure somewhere in the game there is already others Fred's game related object.
Or we can request a special feature, to play the game with different main character, like Twisen or Edward Carnby from AITD1.

Edward Carnby would be nice but might have rights issues.

Ideally Id like them just to keep the character file separate so (with the model editor) we could make our own character mods (and also thus side step legal issues with official distribution).

sgk: Think of it this way: it's like a message in a bottle. In our world, we put a message inside a bottle to protect it while it travels through the oceans to reach some other island. In other worlds, they put a message inside an asteroid to protect it while it travels through space to reach some other planet. In this case it is a gift, a guitar, rather than just a message.

Please do, because if they don't reach the goal they don't receive anything.
