Finished the game.
The script is very simple, but keeping in mind.
I like the combat music. But it differs a lot from the main soundtrack and break the whole feeling.

And I also noticed improper clover behavier. When you came into the room with 50% of your health points and die, your clover will recover only 50% of HP.

I've played your game and I can say I was very impressed.

All in all, I must have finished the game in under 2-3 hours, but I would have liked to see the adventure go on a little longer

The few minor issues I've encountered:
- getting stuck inside an enemy when going out of a building next to the harbor.
- the camera inside buildings is definitely weird for me, especially when you have to fight (you can't shoot straight at enemies if they are "behind/next to" you and you can't align the camera towards them) ===> why not consider a sims-like view, i.e., the walls on the side of the camera are hidden while the walls on the other side are shown?
- I always hated getting drown for two feet in the water in LBA so I wouldn't mind being able to at least have water up to the knees
- lack of a tutorial or explanations on how the game works: when you first start the game, you have to try every single key on your keyboard to finally discover how to activate an object with 'E', or how to fight with right-click, etc. :/

But still a nice little adventure, keep up the good work

Just played it through and I agree with basically all of Hin's points here (except the lack of tutorial; the controls are actually explained pretty well in the readme file). Very very impressed! I actually forgot about the enemy lock function (middle mouse button) for most of the game so I was lining up shots manually, which is okay outside but the camera inside buildings made this nearly impossible. I would have liked it if the camera was a bit more free angle-wise but overall it was very enjoyable.

This game doesn't work for me... I'm using Windows 10. At first it said that I don't have file d3dx10_43.dll, so I found it on the internet. But now I get the following error: https://ugetfix.com/wp-content/uploa...b-error_en.jpg. How can I fix it? Any ideas? I'm a huge fan of original LBA1 and LBA2 and this fangame looks amazing. It was a huge disappointment that I can't run it...

Hard to know what it is, but try to install DirectX 10, not just copying that dll. Also see if the game outputs any kind of error log in the game folder.

I have DirectX 12. You mean that I should install DirectX 10 instead of 12?
I can't see any log file in game folder.

Twinsen

This is SO GOOD. I can't believe I almost missed this. You did an amazing job. Everything feels so authentic... doubly impressive because you didn't use an engine. It was clearly a work of passion.

It was super fun, and even had some of the atmosphere I was hoping for... the scene with the temple and the wild horses just roaming around gave me chills. Something about that low poly aesthetic just sets your imagination free yknow?

This really is a gift. Hands down the best Twinsen fan game I've ever played (well... it might be the only one. Are there other finished projects out there?). It honestly feels like I've been gifted a tiny bit more LBA content, after all these years.

The models and animations look completely authentic to the originals. Did you rip them from the old games somehow?

I already wanted to make a Twinsen fangame someday, but this is inspiring me to hurry up and do it!

Yeah, the models and animations are from the original game, everything else is new.
It is indeed a nice little game, full of potential.
