LBA2: crappy water, land textures

I installed the LBA2 and the graphics of water, land doesn't look too good (it's blocky) though the inhouse graphics is ok.

I wonder it should be like that or I messed up the game configuration?

my config: WinXP, GeForce2, LBA patched by FunnyFrog (big thanks btw

Hmmm... I bet that a Geforce 2 wont help since LBA has no 3Dacceleration support. The indoor graphics is just like LBA 1, very clean also. water is boring, but there is a lot water in the game (I think) so making more textures would be slowing it down (or?)... The outside graphics are a good attempt to make good 3dgraphics, but some stuff has got not so good details and looks a bit blocky.

The 3D of LBA2 has a very good quality compared to games back then (1997). It doesn't use any form of 3D acceleration, so you will see blocks on the textures instead of a blurry mess. It's just you have to live with if you want to play old games.
(PS. games are not about the graphics but about the gameplay)

intRabbit: Do you judge Super Mario Brothers on its graphics? Sprites like that were pretty badass for the 80's. What about Legend Of Zelda? People sh*t their pants about that game, and not because of that graphics!

So- LBA 2 for 1997 was that damn good. Compared to today- yeah, the graphics are pretty elementary, but WTF! You're talking about a 5 year gap!

The graphics in LBA is so clean so it actually is not ageing as many other games. It is enormously well done. And I LOVE that graphics!

Even for 1997, I think that the LBA graphics are very good

LBA's graphics are still great because of there style.
TextureRes/Polygon count ect, I couldn't care less.
A good graphical style is good forever.
