how to uninstall:

OMG!

I'm going to try it as soon as I switch to a comp that can run LBA1!

What tools did you use for creating this map ?

This looks awesome.

How do you get to that single scene? Do you start a new game? Or use the savegame editor to get to a certain point?

to make this map I used:
all you probably need for getting started is, LBArchitect(newest beta) + LBA Package Editor. though the documentation is kinda lacking, so I had to refer to a text file in LBAStoryCoder 0.5.0 and a help file that is not accessible in the program menus in LBArchitect.

yes, just start a new game, its the first scene in the game.
But I wouldn't recommend using savegame editors, the scripts might not be completely compatible with whatever settings you set with a savegame editor

It worked and it was great. Just the sound was all messed up. Some sound effects (like floor sounds or Twinsen getting hit) sometimes don't play. Could be a problem with my damaged headset, I'll try regular LBA 1 later and tell you if I have the problem there as well.

Just one thing: Why do you restart from the beginning of the scene when you lose a life, without a "Game Over" screen appearing?

..well I got this problem sometimes too ingame, but I aswell have a bit damaged headset, Its not just LBA, I have rather frequently sounds not playing properly in my headset so Its kinda hard to tell wether its my map or my headset
It could also be a lba bug with rather frequent ambient sounds.. I used the same ambient setup as in white leaf desert (where the old rabibunny is) .. I wonder if the same happens there?

Thats kinda the normal behaviour: if you die, the game checks if you have clover leafs, if you have some, it takes you to the specified scene in the current scene. As I didnt have any 'jail' scenes, I just made it point to the first one. Once you run out of clover leafs, you get the "Game Over" as usual.

What parts was the most difficult and least self-explanatory when using LBArchitect? afaik LBArchitect hasn't got enough feedback from users

Maybe I just imagine that the clover leaf system was sort of like LBA 2. Apparently it wasn't.

When you load your existing savegame after completing the scene, the game crashes. I had to delete the savegame and start a new one to play it again. In the regular LBA 1, you can always play the last battle with FunFrock again after finishing.

I also saw a problem at the dialogue box in the beginning. I'm playing the game in German with my proof-read texts, but the second option is simply too long to fit.

Though of course this also happens in the regular game.

I also experience some weird sound faults when playing this.
But you deserve a round of applause, sir!
This was really excellent, the whole scene works (minus the sound).
And you're the first to release any kind of playable LBA mod!
Really impressed, I hope you make more.

well I didnt really have problems understanding the gui, the problems were more like generally modding lba, as there isn't much information on how everything works. Nor is there much documentation on storycoding, which took quite some effort to figure out at least.

ok, I got this 'fixed' on the new version, but still loading the game, wount take you back to the desert scene, but the to the final scene in this mod. so its not very usefull to load one.. but at least it doesnt crash

umm nope, the thing is, I didnt use a custom text.hqr, so every message is right from the original game.. wether that is a good thing or not I dont know.. but I've tried to use them in ways that fit the surroundings, at least somewhat..

fixed version added in #1 post.

I don't think you have to change the text, it's only a joke after all. I just wanted to point that out - options in those boxes should usually be as short as possible.

The new version crashes right after the intro.

well yeah, it cant be too serious if its a conversation with a cactus but yeah, I could possibly change it, but then, it wouldnt be translated to other languages ( unless I'd use a translator or something) and then there is ofcourse the voice samples too..

This sounds like you copied the new version over the old version replacing the old version of my mod with the new files.. Which will cause this crash, as this new version has different scene indexes, and does not have a layout library resource anymore.
So when you replace the old version with v2, one file from the old version stays there, and causes it to crash.

you can either install it on a normal lba directory (that has not the old version in it), or you could copy the original LBA_BLL.hqr in the modded lba directory. this should fix it

edit: and dont try opening old savegames from v1 or original game with v2, they'll most certainly crash.

Yeah I thought you were going to need it in some strange situation.
Cool that you put it in though.
Gotta try your update, but is there anything different in the grid?
I already played the original twice, it's so cool.

The grid has a different difficulty depending on which option you choose in the dialogue in the beginning. The first option is easy, the second one is medium, the third one is hard mode.
The second version added a new funny introduction grid and also a new joke grid in the end.

Okay played it through, I like the end scene, leaves a bit of mystery!
I was hoping to talk to the characters in there though.
Anyway I made a little "speedrun" of your level.
Watch it here.
Obviously if you haven't played the level yet this video is a spoiler!

This is awesome. You should make some levels where you have to dodge and sneak past enemies without any weapons (ie, no magicball) too

Another thing I noticed.
Spoiler:

In the final scene, you can kill the elves. They will only take 1 damage. Maybe you should make then invincible.
