I did the german translation. Still i didn't implent the word "Boxonites" because it really pronounces horribly in German. I replaced with the german noun "Block" which will be 100% understood by everybody

Salut Jmimu,

Thanks, I'll add it for the next version and the linux version
(I didn't set up back my linux machine yet).

You can test your translation yourself. Just put the new file and the flag in the AppData/Roaming/bOxOn/ dir .
Oups forgot wine didn't make it.

By the way, the iPhone and iPod version are waiting for review...
The Mac version still gives me problems.

Fred.

bOxOn on iPhone and iPod

Hello,

bOxOn is now released for iPhone and iPod !

The mac version is rejected because of the ipad feeling interface and more precisely for the first sentence in the tuto:
"Touch the screen or click anywhere to continue"

Can you please, help me again with the translation for those 2 sentences or correct mine ?

FR
"Tuto0" = "Bienvenue dans bOxOn @[Tutorial] @Cliquez pour continuer."
"Tuto1" = "Les boxonites se déplacent avec la souris en gardant le clic gauche enfoncé."
EN
"Tuto0" = "Welcome to bOxOn @[Tutorial] @Click to continue."
"Tuto1" = "Boxonites are moved with the mouse by holding down the left button."
IT
"Tuto0" = "Benvenuto a BOXON @[Tutorial] @ Tocca lo schermo o clicca per continuare."
"Tuto1" = "Muovi i pezzi di Boxonite con le dita o cliccando con il pulsante destro del mouse."
ES
"Tuto0" = "Bienvenido al @[Tutorial] @ de BOXON @Clic para continuar cuando la mano toque la esquina"
"Tuto1" = "Las piezas se mueven con el ratón, haciendo click y manteniendo pulsado el botón izquierdo"
PT
"Tuto0" = "Bem-vindo ao bOxOn @[Tutorial] @Clique para continuar."
"Tuto1" = "Arraste os boxonites com clicando com o botão esquerdo do mouse."

Thank you,
Fred.

PT
"Tuto0" = "Bem-vindo ao bOxOn @[Tutorial] @Clique para continuar."
"Tuto1" = "Arraste os boxonites clicando com o botão esquerdo do mouse."

Suggestion for english:

EN
"Tuto0" = "Welcome to bOxOn @[Tutorial] @Click to continue."
"Tuto1" = "Move the Boxonites clicking the left mouse button."

Sorry, I'm wrong !
I should'nt speak about the mouse button as a lot of mac use the touchpad or a "buttonless" mouse.

It should be something more general like
Click and drag the Boxonites to move them
(I don't know how to translate that in french!)

what do you think ?

Hmm... I forgot that usually the mac mouses are with one button. So how does the undo work with the mouse? Control+click?

Strange, I've worked in a mac and even though the mouse didn't show two buttons, mysteriously there were 2 buttons underneath the cover (not counting the 3rd button, the 360o spinning ball!).

Anyway, in PT:
Clique e arraste para mover os Boxonites.

Fred, what`s the UNDO command with the mouse for the MAC version? If "Tuto0" and "Tuto1" should be changed, because of the mouse clicks, then the "Tuto2" should be changed too (because of the right click).

You'are right Horadrim, it must be changed too.
On the mac (at least my macbook pro) you can use a PC mouse right click (USB plugged or through Synergy ), right click with two fingers on the touchpad (one held and the other click (the whole surface is a click button)), click the Undo button, use the U key. The ctrl-click should be also a right click but as it doesn"t work I think I need to handle it myself. But if I don't speak about the right click, i'll avoid problems.
So I guess that "You can UNDO moves with the UNDO button or simply by right-clicking." will be "You can UNDO moves with the UNDO button." as you can learn shortcuts on the web page (I'll add them all for Mac).

By the way, I will change the big hand shown in the tuto with a big Mac arrow (an hamburger ?) to avoid confusion with a touch version. I don't know yet if it will be a change only for the mac version or the PC too.

Okay then, here`s the modified version of the Bulgarian translation.

Wow, 8 pages of posts. Think ill skip and jump right in

I got Boxon for the iPhone, and I'm 100 levels through so far. My honest opinion is:-

Keeping in mind that I have not played the PC version prior to the iPhone version, I really have nothing to compare against. Getting to grips with the concept was quite simple. The tutorial was easy to follow and short enough that it probably wouldn't bore you. The touch controls are very well implemented, and I particularly like the ability to continue sliding the boxonites after they connect to other boxonites.

The gameplay is great, and well suited to the iPhone platform. I find that I usually play iPhone games in between making tea, waiting for a render or sim to finish, or on the journey to or from work. In the past two weeks I've quite frequently loaded Boxon on these occasions and played through a few levels, and I've always enjoyed myself doing so.

On the down side I found that scrolling down through the levels cause the phone (iphone 4) to slow down and lag, making it quite tedious if you want to skip a number of levels (scrolling to the bottom and back up again took the better part of two minutes).

I'm slightly overwhelmed by the number of levels. On the plus side I find that to be great value for money. But what I also miss is a progression incentive. Most iPhone games (think angrybird, burn the city, feed me oil, cat physics, coin drop... the list goes on) have some form of a progression incentive which entices users to continue playing in order to unlock new game modes, environments, etc... I do feel that Boxon could be expanded on a little(time trial/puzzle mode/more color combinations/bejewled mode etc...).

Also, while cute/merry/clean themes probably didn't help LBA, it really would help Boxon on the app market. All the aforementioned games are brightly colored, cartoon like and clean (think Vimeo).

Overall great value for money, a ton of levels, good enjoyable concept, well implemented and hassle free.

I've finished translating the website to Polish (except the "technical documentation", but I can try to translate it too if you want), but I have no idea what to do next...

Kasia, have you ever tried to use an editor with syntax highlighting? It's much easier. I recommend PSPad (free).
