pft. All these highbrow/concept creative indies....Ive just been smashing stuff and enjoying bad puns.
Lego City Undercover - actually, really good. Massive GTA-like thing (Ive never played GTA) with Naked-Gun style humor. Bit of Prince of Persia style platforming mixed in too.
No challenge whatsoever - not even in the foot/car race segments. But that doesnt bother me, I just really enjoy exploring in a laid back way a massive landscape looking for secrets.
I also really think the animators deserve a lot of credit - the civilians walking about are full of personality. They walk at different speeds, some stop to talk to others, some are running as if to catch a bus.....it all fells very full of life despite being made of Lego.

Currently for WiiU, but it comes out for other formats next year. I suspect the main difference will be all the obvious Nintendo references edited out.

Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald - Lol, that was pretty cool. This game kinda felt like a LOST episode.

Darkf, Lego games - WHY? The thought alone is making me twitch and shudder.

Because I can be a Minotaur on a segway. :P

Seriously though many of the lego games are good, especially in co-op. (this one doesn't have that though). There isnt that many open world non-violent games, its nice to have a game where I can drive all over everywhere and not worried about the hundreds of people I am running over due to my terrible driver :P
The game is "dumb" in that it takes no thought, but its creative and often makes me laugh. You have to like nakedgun/airplane style humor though. Lots of puns and sight-gags in the background.

Quantum break looks pretttty great, definately gotta play that. Thanks! Keep em coming

What are you playing on your consoles? The Quantic Dream games are reason alone to get a PS4... I do wish they'd release them for PC.

I am lacking time these days. I have to choose to play or work on personal projects. Can't do both, but it depends how exhaust I feel from work.

I have quite a few games to complete, and I switch between them while get bored or stuck in something.
I am currently playing The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush Remastered, Last Of Us Remastered, Watchdog 2.

PS4 have great exclusives: Uncharted series, Gravity Rush 2 released now, Last Guardian (same team as Ico and Shadow of the Colossus), the remastered versions of the Quantic Dream games Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls, Until Dawn, etc.. So many compared to Xbox One for example which has way less.
On Xbox One still have to complete Gears of War 4, but got a bit bored with the game repetition.

The console games are more expensive than PC, but I got tired of having loads of issues with hardware requirements while playing PC games.
I can have a good laptop for my personal use and projects and have a console that can handle most of the games without worrying about compatibility issues.
Still, the hardware options are getting better these days, specially with external graphic cards, so hope those compatibility issues will decrease and be less expensive.

Hhehhee it's hard isn't it? All the more motivating to keep pushing your senses further. I'll let you guys try some more then if it seems really impossible I'll share my little secret to you.

Mind you, 63 is my highscore, but I average around 20~40 in most of my tries to surpass my record. So even for me it's not easy and requires absolute focus.

It seems I beat my highscore this morning, now the tally is raised to 88 (daaamn, right? )

So I'll share with you awesome MBN people my humble tips for this little gem:

1) You must choose: take the blue or the red pill... Haha, no, seriously, the trick is to focus on ONE color only. Let's say blue. Ignore the orange and it's interactions. Train your brain to react to any blue color. Keep your eyes wide-angle view, as to see all movement from top to bottom of the screen, without changing focus too much (changing focus wastes precious reaction time), on the lookout for anything blue. Condition your brain to a simple "script": IF blue coming facing your blue - hold finger still; ELSE tap finger. Once you are automated into this tiny script you'll see things flowing nearly automatically and it just feels wonderful, it's like being Han Solo avoiding asteroids with the Millennium Falcon.

2) Irregular amounts of coffee.

Tried a few demos on my 3ds.
Yoshis Wolly World - Lovely style, basically no challenge whatsoever to completing the level though, mostly about finding all the secrets. The SNES game was vastly harder.

Hyrule Warrior Legends - what is this? Fighting waves of enemies mostly be just jabbing a button, occasionally moving and doing it again. Yes, Zelda games have swords but that doesn't make the brands compatible. This feels all wrong.
Its like if you took LBAs skin and put it on TotalWar or something
Also, comes across as a lazy port - not even any 3D.

I've come up with this solution on my own, but thus far I didn't manage to apply it successfully. I achieved my best score (29) using the "standard method".

(But all in all, this game is a nightmare. )

It can be.

Or, with the right mindset* (*hardly achievable but intensely gratifying (mostly achievable in the mornings, for me)) you break thru the "matrix", and suddenly it opens up to you revealing that the game's unmanageable speed was all in your brain's preconceived sensation of frustration after failure and a natural tendency to have "itchy trigger fingers". Then... everything looks so slow and you wonder how come you didn't see it that way before? What has changed? I remember it being so hard, and now it's so steady, so perfect, it's beautiful, it's rhythmic, it's almost gracious. It's you against yourself - and how good it feels to "win".

LOL. Oh Kasia. No, no, I don't take anything (does coffee count?)... but I'm a lot more patient. At the end of the day you're tired and can't focus just as good.

I have similar feelings with super-hexagon and a rythmic game called grandmaster of taiko. I sometimes achieved a feeling where I felt I was empty and my fingers were moving on their own, and I just sat there amazed at how my body played...
Don't get it often enough

THIS is the feeling.

Where can I find this game?

What you wrote is definitely accurate, polly. It seems the more I let myself in auto-pilot, the better and that's the only way I could get to a score of 60, 80... 100...and now 200. I lose whenever I take the control back, involuntarily, much like you occasionally do when you start breathing manually and can't revert to automatic at your own will.

So, that's the ultimate tip: try to get your brain into "auto-pilot" as soon as possible, then hold onto it as long as you can - because if you try to do it with your conscious self, you will try too hard - and you will fail.
