Classic Cartoons :-)

Well here it is people, the classic cartoons thread. This is all inspired by the fact that I got some "Mysterious Cities of Gold" Videos today (13 CDs - 20 hrs) and they brought me right back to my 80s childhood! So here are a few of my faves:

MCoG
Dogtanian
Thundercats
Around the World in 80 days
Dangermouse
He-Man
Ewoks
Duckula

They don't make em like that anymore - where's the violence in modern cartoons I ask you! The attached image is of MCoG. If you've ever seen it (and I admit I forgot it for years) you'll recognise it instantly from this!!!

Hmmmm... don't know many of those. But then again I can't remember anything from my very early childhood. Apart from some injuries.

But I do remember Around The World in 80 days! According to my dad, it was my faveourite cartoon when I was 2!

Indeed, i've still got a little kiddies book of it
--
kaderoboy - Yep, they where cool too.
-
Alchemist - Yes, but I hated it.
The worst cartoon spin off ever (except, Star Trek:The aniamted series)
-
Danger Mouse is porbably my favorate.
It was just so stupid.
(I remember one about a giant space snoker cue was going to hit the earth into a black hole. So DM got everyone in the world to jump sideways at the same time! [the earth dodged out the way] )

I had a Duckula game for my Amiga 500 with sound FX - David Jason is a genius (he did Penfold too).

Oh and Turtles rocked also, I forget that there are so many great 80s toons out there!

Hmm...I suddenly forgot...
(shows I remember their names in Hebrew: Katkatim, giveret pilpelet, moosh ha shor, pashoshon, ofel bofel)

FireBall2K - We where just listing cartoon series, we hadn't really started listing films yet.
-
the_angry_ - Indeed he is.
I knew he did penfold.
Terry Scott did Danger Mouse.
==
Top Cat was another one of my favorates. (probably because it was an animated version of Bilko)
Also:
Charlie Chalk,
Jimbo and the Jet Set,
Space Cats,
The Wombles (ok, not really a cartoon, but anyway),
Dastardly and Mutley,
Hong Kong Phooey,
Inspector Gadget!! (One of my favorates, because it was based on GET SMART, and [unlike Top Cat/Bilko] the star of Get Smart did the voice of Inspector gadget [Don Adams] )
Henrys Cat,

There all films.
If they made any spin-off series, then it must be quite new.
We are really talking about old cartoons.

Every kid in Israel has memories from the end of the 80's of those
shows, they're old!!!
And they're not a local production.

Nope, they were made as feature length, not as a series.
Maybe they cut them up and showed them on TV or something.

Only in the stupid film.
The TV series you never saw him. (I always thought it was really the cat behind all the evil scemes )
Inspector Gadgets rules, although it was blatantly based on Get Smart.
