King's Quest V

Has anyone here EVER gotten this game fully functioning (music, video and most importantly the SPEECH, that means getting windows to detect the s.blaster) under windows XP? Because I this is the only game out of hundreds I can't get full functioning at the moment...

I've tried useing everything known to man, includeing VDM sound King's Quest VI works fine with VDM, but V doesn't appear to.. which is why I posted.. wondering if anyone actually HAS got it working on a windows machine, I've tried both 98 and XP and neither work, if I go into 98 and boot down into DOS mode with all the settings right it STILL doesn't work... this is one o 2 or 3 games I can't make work in XP and the other ones I can all make work fine in 98 useing boot to DOS... this is the exception.

Also... the VDM sound compatability list appears to say that SB doesn't work in KQ5 yet...

This may be a game I actually have to run on my old 486 that has an actual AdLib/SB16 card, which would probably be the last computer I played it on succesfully actually (years ago)
