They programmed their own engine and developers tools, and made the game with that, afaik. There's a movie in the MBN filesections with an LBA2 making-of, you can see a bit of some of the developers tools there if you look closely.

Frédérick Raynal said something about the 3D modelling program they used for the ingame characters on some ancient forum, someone should still remember what and how.

Unfortunately there's no "Make Your Own Adventure Game Like Little Big Adventure"®© software suite available (yet).

My secret source says they used Klik n Play Pro 1.0 for LBA1 and Klik n Play 96 Collectors edition for LBA2.

Its almost certainly comes down to some form of C which they built engine and tools ontop off.

All that I know is that lba have 40% of assembly code and think that the rest is in C
