Install problem
I recently bouth a new computer with windows xp and installed lba2 but then deleted again becasue of the garbled screens. I have now found the patch for this but now when I go to install the game again after the change dirsctory screen when i click on install it comes up with an intallshield error with the details:
"AppName: _ins0576._mp AppVer: 5.0.207.0 ModName: kernel32.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.0 Offset: 00014a5a" This is really annoying as I can now not even install this great game to even play it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Wendell |

I am experiencing the same problem on my Widows 2000 system. Anyone solved this? It happens after the install screen that asks if you want to change the default install directory. I simply select install to accept the default. Then boom.
One anomoly is that the install does not recognize DirectX 9 on my system. It wants to install DirectX 3, but I tell it to continue without installing the much older version. _INS0576._MP.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. Thanks, Brent |

There were earlier complaints about problems with installing LBA2, some of those were fixed by copying all files to the harddisk and then installing it from there. Those files can be deleted later, when the game is installed.
