Thumbs Up Lba1 Works In Xp With Sound Read Me If You Are Having Problems!!!!!

Hi guys,
I just Installed LBA1 and I have found compatible patches to run the game using XP, IN WINDOWS WITH SOUND.
if it doesnt work i must have fluked something!! lol

First get
- unofficial LBA1 windows patch from www.magicball.net
download and unzip this file into your LBA folder
- Unofficial LBA2 GeForce 2 patch from www.magicball.net
install this programm
- SoundFX 2000 from www.softsystem.co.uk
1. Run Patch.exe in your LBA folder(it should make a new .exe file called winlba.exe)
2A. Run Setup.exe(choose your lanuage, Go to video card config. choose your card (if your card isnt there choose 'Vesa compatable',
B. Go to 'Music sound card Config.' and choose 'Sound Blaster 16 <OPL3>'choose your address (i used 220h'),
C. Go to 'FX Sound Card Config.'and choose 'Sound Blaster 16''choose your address (i used 220h'),
D. Go to 'Save Parameters',
E. Go to 'Quit to DOS'.
Just simply run LBAWIN.exe
it should work (if not just try it a few times making sure you do SETUP each time you start the game)

  • We already got LBA1 work perfectly in Windows with sound; LbaWin (not FunnyFrog's patch) takes care of everything by tunneling it through DirectSound, which is autodetected.
  • What's the need of the LBA2 GeForce patch with LBA1??
  • Personally, I've always suggested VDMSound as SoundBlaster emulator for Windows (if you happen to want to use FF's patch).
