New Fangame...i dunno what kind...

Hello,
I guess I’m new here and I realize when it comes to fan games you have had a lot of disappointments. I suppose they were due to lack of programming experience with games or time, but as for me both of these I have to spare. So I want to start my own project from the ground up. I can do modeling, programming, 2D and music all of which I have the applications to create. Of course I don’t know what type of game to create. I would do a sequel or an Online MMORPG game (though I see that’s being done) but I really don’t know where to begin here. What kind of game do you want to see?

Why not help an existing project?
Part of the problem why very few fangames were finnished was because lots of people started their own competing projects.

I would rather not join other fangames because i don't see any order or planning, i would gladly join the LBA Online project if they could decide on and engine. I also like using the engines i have, they work well for rapid development of games.

Professional is a loosly used term, i cant get a good team to work together.

You can join LBA Online if ya want, I think I'll stick with the aurora engine now as it is fully supported and there are many people who would help, Alex Clay do you own NeverWinter Nights?

Prehapes because making your own real 3D engine takes a lot more work.
Neverwinters engine is extreamly modable, you dont have to have any trace of D&D left.

I hope that you did not say that with too much relish, or that anyone read that with such a feeling

well, my point was just theres allsorts of games made with it.
Chess, Catapult game, Blackjack, ectect.

Now that skyboxs are (finaly) supported, and the restrictions on the camera can be overcome, there can even be First Person games.
