Yeah, the extremely simple faces are a common bad thing about the manga style, yeap, I'm proud to say: Zoe and I... err no , I mean I read your latest post Obras!

I hate the simple eyes on anime/manga/games, they look just like a deep ocean of colors, nothing more far away for reality

Man, you remind me of the cuts that americans did with "Tokio Mew Mew" (or Mew Mew Power) and "One Piece", boths cuts an unnecessary thing

Lol I like that some people follow my recommendation. If you are interested now you can know a lot about the movie without seen it, but is a beautiful movie to watch after all...

After seeing a lot of Lucky Star references on 4Chan I decided to give it a try.
But before that I watched the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, since wacko pointed out there we're a lot of Haruhi references in Lucky Star.

Haruhi was great. It's about this girl who I guess you can say is God but she doesn't know it. But the people around her do know this so they try to do everything to keep her happy so she won't change the world out of boredom or whatever. Too bad there were only 14 episodes though.. Luckily there seems to be coming another season so can't wait for that.

Lucky Star was mindless fun. No real storyline in it, just some schoolgirls going through their evey day life making lame jokes. It's great.

Haha, I didn't said it in a seriously manner. I know that 5 Cm is a well-know recent movie.
Hope that you enjoy the film soon as possible

I saw the other two movies by the same director, "Voices of Distant Star" and "Place Promised in Our Early Days."

Interesting promises all around, but overall, lots of disorganized narrative. I also noticed that the guy has reused a lot of the same storytelling elements (trains, lovers seperated by vast distance/time) in every story.

Also, did any LongestJourney fan here notice the resemblence of "Place promised in our Early Days?" I'll give you a hint: There's a really big tower which divides universes and a character dreams herself into one of them. Bizzare coinsidence.

Can we say then, that 5 Cm is his better work at the moment?

I'm not sure, of course because I don't see the other movies yet.

And btw look at this fan-video about the Otakus:

I prefer "The Place Promised in Our Early Days"; it's more of a coherent full-length feature than 5cm is.

He most likely means that he don't watch it, but just was to lazy to write the while sentence, mistaking MBN for a chat service.

Furikureskly!!!

I like your answer

btw here's my new anime!!

The OVA FLCL a.k.a. Fury Kury or Fooly Cooly(on USA), is another great work by GAINAX

Brilliant! funny! fast! crazy!

and above all these: indescribable

You really need to see it

There aren't appropiate words to describe FLCL

Is only 6 episodes long but the experience last forever...

FLCL is seriously great indeed.
I love how random it all is, but still makes sense in the end.
Perfect for watching several times; I think I've seen it 5x or so.

You could take a look at Mind Game, it's a very original and also pretty weird/random anime movie.

I don't recall FLCL being too amazing, on the other hand I watched it over 3 years ago.
I'll give it another shot sometime.

A japanese lo-fi rock band.

I love "I think I Can" and "Ride on Shooting Star" from The Pillows

I'm not really an anime-crazy person ... but somehow I'm crazy about the anime/manga Fruits Basket. There's romance but it's a gentle sort of romance (and it takes a hell of a long time to develop). There's violence but only through martial arts. And there's plenty of comic relief.

Apart from that I haven't really liked another anime series. Except for a few years back when I watched Pokemon because I was stupid. (I still like some of the Pokemon themselves, but the anime was just ... simple. In Fruits Basket, the characters CHANGE THEIR OUTFITS)

Oh yeah, I forgot I quite like the Ghibli films 'Spirited Away' and 'My Neighbour Totoro'. I love the pure innocence of Totoro and the intricate designs as well as the music from Spirited Away. (My parents who are artists HATE anime but they like 'Spirited Away'! o_o )

New anime I saw!
This is started to be a full-time job

FULL METAL ALCHEMIST!

Both the 51 TV episodes and the movie.

The TV series is awesome, is all what you want of a Square-Enix production.
Great Story, great design and beautiful japanese voices.

I love specially the voices of "Envy" and "Winly"

But watch out! The Movie is... is... terrible, yep not terrific, TE-RRI-BLE
Is a shame that a perfect-planned TV series deserves this film, it lacks the magic of Full Metal, damn

also ive only WATCHED(not seen on tv by accident) two animes
one was Azumanga Daioh which i thought was OK enough so i made a collab based around it. THIS IS A LINK
and the second one was Gravity which was really fucking gay.. seriously not gay as in shit but gay as in homosexual.

Zerath: We aren't nerds, maybe you are

And I don't know what to say in favor of manga or anime, I believe that I like it because is far different from the american style of comics and animation, is fresh air for me

Mouserz: Lol I never hear about these animes, I'm lucky(I suppose) losing a gay anime
