No no no, the user controls the jump height in the editor. What DJ is experiencing is user made, not from the guys behind the thing.

Ive given it a go, and I think its a great start.

Pros;

* Seamless downloading of levels - Much easier then even most major commercial releases. No pissing about copying files into random directorys, just click and go.

* Anyone can make levels pretty easily.

* Levels able to be ranked by difficulty and quality.

* Lots of platform game types seem possible.

Cons;

* Better jump algorithm needed. s=ut+1/2(at^2) type should be used for smooth mario-esq curves. Whatever it is at the moment just feels wrong...even if the gravity is supposed to be strong.

* Better lighting. I dont think we need vastly better graphics, but optional advanced-lighting rendering would improve the look intensively. Some levels use the flat-shading to hide hidden passages...and thats great....but the option of having nice non-liner lighting projected over the level would be great. Another nice option would be nice mario-galaxy-esq falloff highlighting.

* When picking a level, an obvious "Sort by quality" and "Sort by difficulty" options should be right at the top, maybe with diffculty as dropdown boxs.

* More items/abilitys to use in levels. (like, say, limited-time sticky shoes that let you walk up walls). Give the level designers as much options to play with as possible.
