Red face Confession about the Olympics...

I've found a webcafe here...

Belarus gave Sweden the most unexpected loss in Swedish sports history.. Everyone here was certain that we should have won it... 3-4... I felt really empty afterwards, I had really started to believe that we had a chance of winning... But... no..

They weren't at their best when the tournamet REALLY started..

But Canada were, although they will lose against USA in the final... , taco... no chance of winning there..

After the game I thougth that it all was a bad dream... Belarus...

Then we haven't got any gold medal at all in the whole olympics... yet... 2 silver medals and 4 bronze...

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH!!!!!!

And ┬┤Canada... They have beaten us in everything...

Probably:

"It's too hot in Israel to train good, so we weren't prepared"

Summer Olympics are the normal Olympics that occur every 4 years. It features events such as the 100 meters, high-jump, and other track and field events, as well as stuff like football.

The next olympics will be held in Greece in 2004. The last olympic games were held in Sydney, Australia. The first Modern Olympiad Games were held in Athens in Greece, 106 years ago. The Olympic games origonated in Grecce, during the 'Ancient Greece' period, where towns competed against each other and only men were allowed to compete, and they had to be naked.

Well, we managed to beat Sweden and a few other countries, but we lost terribly against USA and Russian....especially US...I never thought that Americans were THAT good in hockey...good thing that good ol' Canadians kicked their butt in the end.

(No offens to any US citizens down here)

Well you should be happy that you beat us. It isn't possible in real life, but apparantly it is.

Now two olympics with all the best players have been played.
Look at the result of the 7 countries that have been involved in the tournaments last eight both times.

1) Canada; semifinal 1998, gold 2002
2) Czech; gold 1998, quarterfinal 2002
3) Russia; final 1998, bronze 2002
4) USA; quarterfinal 1998, final 2002
5) Finland; bronze 1998, quarterfinal 2002
6) Belarus; quarterfinal 1998, semifinal 2002
7) Sweden; quarterfinal 1998, quarterfinal 2002

See, we are worse than all countries even in my stats!

But also we've beaten all those countries on one occation in those two tournaments, except finland (1-2 quarterfinal 1998) and russia (haven't met yet)

And Belarus, well, they have only beaten ONE of those teams...

But my rank of the teams capability shows this:

1. Canada
2. Russia
3. Sweden
4. USA
5. Czech Republic
6. Finland

9814871897418. Belarus

This means that we are the only ones who has played worse than we can in these two tournaments.

This means that the Swedish players are the only ones not playing at their best when they really have to.

Copyright GSWE stats 2002.

Btw.. The Swedish goalie, Tommy Salo, well his parents have been assaulted here in Sweden after his bad performance in the olympics.

If you take

5 points for gold
4 points for silver
3 points for bronze
2 points for fourth
1 point for quarter finals

Then:

Canada = 2 + 5 = 7
Czech Rep = 5 + 1 = 6
Russia = 4 + 3 = 7
USA = 1 + 4 = 5
Finland = 3 + 1 = 4
Belarus = 1 + 2 = 3
Sweden = 1 + 1 = 2

SO:

1. Canada
1. Russia
3. Czech Rep
4. USA
5. Finland
6. Belarus
7. Sweden

I mean I know you are Swedish but they only reached the quarter finals twice...surely this doesn't mean they are the third best team?!

The first rank showed exactly what you mentioned, but the second was my opinion on how good the teams REALLY are.

I meant how good they PLAYERS are, and how good they had been if there weren't any games played, if you see what i mean. But now they have performed 'under their level'.

Here I go:

Yeah, I did expect Sweden to do better, but I can't say I'm not happy my team one. Well, all I know is that Mats Sundin played a good tournament, and now he's back in Toronto Oh, and about Belarus, I think one of the main reasons they beat Sweden was their goalie, I can't think of his name, but anyways I remember skipping school to watch it at a friends house, and we woke up the neighbourhood with constant profanity because he was amazing during the first period of their game with the states. First period shutout against em, thats pretty formitable.

Yeah, I saw him play well against the States too, his name was Mezin, I don't remember the first name, but I think it was Andrei.

Then Toronto won't stand a chance!!

CAPITALS!!!
