Recently finished - Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Awesome third game of the series. Finally got to play it, after I finished Pandora Tomorrow (SC2) and the original Splinter Cell for the 2nd time, I was able to get it for a decent price at last. Anyway, the game is a very cool sequel to the previous two. A few new elements are added and also a few are removed for simplicity's sake. A nice touch is the sense of ethics in the game - you can get through each mission without killing anyone, and sometimes you can do some extra things to make yourself feel better about yourself ![]() ![]() I didn't try the online (co-op!!) mode yet, but it seems awesome. Now playing - Deus Ex 2: Invisible War This is the 3rd or so time I'm playing this through. It's just a nice game, even though it's more streamlined and less collosal as Deus Ex 1. The awesome graphics and physics make up for it. HL2 wasn't the first game with great physics, folks! And you can actually pick up and throw stuff around, which greatly increases the actual use of the physics in the game. Especially with the added strength biomod with max updates, you can have so much fun with the ragdolls... ![]() Also playing - Dungeon Siege 2 I quite liked Dungeon Siege 1 for a single time playing through it - mindlessly hack 'n slash tons of monsters while you follow a predefined path and walk through the very thin storyline. Dungeon Siege 2 is more of the same, only much less lineair. The addition of teleporters enables - and requires - you to travel forwards and backwards to and from places, to complete either part of your current main quest (to continue the storyline) or one of plenty subquests. Quite nice, and will probably continue doing this every once in a while. It's not a game with a lot of feeling, though. |

The third sequel of Jazz Jackrabbit 3? Aw, the developers have abandoned that world.

Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal/Ascension/The Longer Road
The longer road is a cool bonus, with great dialogue. But there are some aweful bugs and for some reason, the speech options I get, are dependent on my character's intelligence. His a lvl.40 monk with int 8... so every time I wake from sleep, I have to take intelligence potions I got from cheating. I feel like friggin Voldemort. AND! That whole Deva Quest in the Watchers Keep fucked up. I ruined my evening. I spent so much time on this shit that I've been wandering the internet all night, just trying to find something to take my mind of it... *sigh* I wish Nintendo would release some new info to read about the NR... |

The games I play now:
The Elder Scrolls III, Morrowind: One of the best RPGs ever made. Thief 3, Deadly shadows: Altough the Splinter Cell games are also good I think the atmosphere in the Thief games is infinitely better. And you have to sneak through the whole game instead of getting an assault rifle and freedom to shoot everybody you see. Battlefield 2: A great FPS. I really like the tactics part of this game. LBA1 I don't think I need to tell anything about this game on this forum. Games I wait for: The Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion: Screenshots of the game look incredible and everything I've read about the game is great. The Radiant A.I. system sounds too good to be true. I know all of the information I've read is probably not true, but I have full faith in the developer team. All of the prequels of this game have been excellent and I believe this one will be too.

Hmm.... playing operation flashpoint, completed (for like the 1000th time) the Resistance and Red Hammer editions. Waiting for Operation Flashpoint2, the most realistic fps, and is so real its basically a war simulater.
Before that i finished Gta san andrea for the pc, and gave up on myst IV revelations (too damn hard nearer the end). |

Me and me mate stayed in tonight and played LAN Football Manager 2005 for 8 or 9 hours today. That game is fascinating in how it eats time - theres nothing I ever played that can even be compared to it. I heard the feeling is the same in Civilization but I never tried it.

GTA: San Andreas, I liked Vice City more. SA is larger, but less interesting. For one, the story isn't as good as for VC. Quote:
