I am not really sure, they're so rare.

I'm not a real horror film fan, mainly as the truly scary ones make me scream like a little girl.

A couple of the best or at least my favorites:

Evil Dead all three of them (although you can hardly call Amry of Darkness an horror movie) The 2nd one is better than the 1st.
Poltergeist (all three of them)
Most horror movies based on Stephen King books are also cool, although not always very scary. Actually only a few really qualify as horror, most are more thriller.
Jaws I and II (the others are aweful)
the Alien movies (except for AvP)
Cube and Cube Zero (Hypercube isn't that great)

I don't really like zombie movies, I find them boring. Although I really enjoyed "Shaun of the Dead", it was sort of a parody in Dawn of the Dead.

Hey so Cube Zero is good then? I liked the 2 first ones, but I've been told the 3rd one sucks. Guess I'm off watching it then
And I'll keep that list you made there, I like scary movies.

1: Cube
2: Cube Zero

no seriously, hypercube was the worst of the cube movies, the main reason: it had a damn perpose.

Hypercube was awful, in general.

Hey it wasn't that bad... it was actually a nice movie. The ending was a bit disturbing though.

I actually enjoyed the 1st half, and thought it was cool.
But from the moment the first person died everything started becoming so ridiculous.
Spoiler:

Especially how that bad guy kept on eating Jerry, by the end of the movie he must've eaten like 7 Jerrys XD

Also how the movie tried to be cool by adding terms from physics like "reality" "dimensions" "time signature"
I read several books on Quantom Physics, and most of the events in the movie have no physical foundation whatsoever (which i wouldn't mind, but the movie tried to make it seem like it did)

I should watch Cube Zero sometime, it's been waiting for me for months here.
But I wouldn't call the Cube series horror films.

Me? I hate horror movies, don't like the smell, don't like the taste, don't like the looks of them. There just so (yawn...) soo (yaaaaawn), soooo boring. ( I mean movies like "The shining", or all those "strange children form the corn field" movie types (yikes...), talking chucky puppets, murderous leprechauns (sic!), a deadly fog (...). The last horror movie I saw was "The texas chainsaw masacre" and it left me feeling, well, disturbed. Ah, But "Seven", or "The Saw" were nice, I also liked the "Bone collector" and "The Cell" but they're all more like thrillers. Oh, and "Mothman profecies" and "Dragonfly" were Coool.

The only horrorish things are the gruesome ways people die, really.

First of all, my name is Lenny and not Lennie, for the 23094th time.
Second, a horror film is meant to make you feel fear and such, and at least the first Cube didn't try to do that at all. Hypercube, if they did try there, did it very badly.

Monsieur le Fish:
Example: The Grudge.
It's not a good movie, but it's horror, because tries to scare you with ghosts, sudden sounds and other "boo!" moments. In short, horror movies try to make you scared/shocked. Cube only does that with the gruesome dying.

Exactly.

The Scream trilogy is great for a laugh, although it trys to shock you more than scare you.

Horror is one of my, er, least favourite genres. But I liked Jaws, which El said was a horror movie... is it really?
