Twinsal :
that's really bad, hopefully you'll feel better soon !

And I must add, you can be happy in life, when you have an eye for the good things, and when you stop worrying, things can look a whole diffrent.

For me, it's best when I accept something is not the way I want, and then to let it rest. Usually it works

today was a day full of work, for a change. So that's a good thing.

They say schooldays are meant o be the 'happyest days of our lives'. BULL-SHIT! They suck. Most of the people in my school are fucked up and hate me. Lol not that I care. You don't go to school to make friends, you go to school to learn - Thats how I see it. 1 tip, I have, and 1 tip I offer you: DON'T GIVE A RATS ASS WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS! You should live for yourselves, not for popularity or 'fitting in'.

Well, it depends on all kinds of things.
Personally, I am really enjoying the current time in my life.

Me too, miss the whole 'schoolbusness' a lil bit, being busy and all.

But I enjoy life

Today was helping my sis moving to another house almost next door, which was heavy, hurted my back but I'm fine.

Yesterday:
I was hungry and felt like chocolat, so I went to this machine. Anyway, I had to wait. The guy before me bought a Mars and walked of. When I was just about to put my money in, another one fell out. Anyway, it's that I don't really like Mars, else I wouldn't have but a Snickers as well. I gave the biggest part of the Mars to Twinsal, who was practically begging for it.
I often have this luck with machines. It has happened a couple of times that I put money in for one bag of M&M's, and two came out. And once, my candy got stuck in the machine, and then the guy behind me, who was waiting untill he could buy something, started ramming the machine, I guess he didn't have a lot of patience... Anyway, the candy came out, AND some other kind of candy.
Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not addicted to candy. This has happened over the years I spent in high school.

Today:
We had to go boxing again at gym. This time, Twinsal and I tried to be a bit more serious. It did work a little, 'cause I had to get out some agression. We were still laughing a lot though. Twinsal landed in some cheap shots, I made her pay.
Today I talked to the guy I'm in love with for the first time! He seems really nice and stuff. I wasn't alone with him though, there were two other girls as well, but a start is a start. I now know his last name and I know where he works.

School sx. Teachers can be incredible morons. Way to much homework too. Hate it. I feel prisoned.

Today was kinda nice though. Got up at 4:30 to finish homework. Did my paperround, went to school. And Star complaining she wants to put her nails in certain people's necks. Gym was nice. Boxing again. Me cheating and hitting Star on the head. And we were laughing almost all the time. And I hate Goose (girl in my class) even more than ever. She screaming all the time like a chicken. She can be nice, but she doesn't seem to care whether she hurts people or not.
Now I'm working on my homework and it's sooo annoying.

Pandemona:
The dutch schoolsystem has had a makeover a few years ago.
HAVO/VWO have gotten their homework doubled, and now have around 13-14 different 'studies' which you have to do exams for.

normally that was 6.

I doubt you got homework even near our work.

My day:

ouch, all my muscles hurt from helping my sis to move,
We met a junk yesterday when we were doing it. He is without doubt the most funny junk I've ever met

I can't explain, he was just totally fucking weird.

Today pool again

Ahh, vending machines...gotta love 'em!

One time there was this packet of Polo mints hanging pecariously on the edge of the spool that hold them in place, and myself and a friend decided to "coax" it out. Three or four rams into the thing later, and the Polos fell out of the spool and down into the collecting trough. Needless to say, minty-freshness was experienced by all that day.

Regards,
Morden

lgr>> Ha ha, no.

lol...

Today at english class, We had to fill in the blanks in a formal letter. So, I filled in everything, and then I could write what ever I wanted in the P.S blank, so I wrote "All the ducks are swimming in the water"

So, the girl who sat next to me isn't too bright, so she copys every little thing i write.

So when the teacher asked her to read out the letter,
she read everything perfectly, and the teacer was very pleased,
than she said "P.S.-- All the ducks are swimming in the water"

.....It took about 10 minutes for the class to calm down

Well, right now I'm a bit busy preparing to a math test (I'm doing a test again to improve the grade of the previous one), and finally tommorow I'll get it over with. Then on Sunday I have a history test. On Monday I need to give my English teacher a book report about The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I also need to do some assignment in Pascal, which is important for my final grade.

So probably until Tuesday I won't have too much time to do something nice, but at least I start at 9 for 4 days (instead of 8 or 7:10).

Also, in my private life, I'm really happy at the moment for some reason...*wink wink*

And that's all that is remotely interesting.

On Tuesday we had these Australian students visit our school, and they gave a little presentation about themselves and their country. We asked many questions (including whether or not they drink Fosters ) and they ended up playing our basketball team later that evening.

I provided music and colour commentary for the game, which, of course, we (my home team) kicked ass, 75-49. Those damn aussies can't play b-ball for crap. (j/k)

We also pissed off the girl who sang the national anthem, because my friend wanted to sing it, and it ended up being a catfight, and now the girl (who was supposed to sing) is being a bitch.

Grr! Damn those Aussies!

GCSEs .. Important? AHHHHAHAAHAHAAAAA!

Important my ass! The sole purpose of GCSEs is to fill space on your CV so the british don't look lame when they come up against the European system (the International Bacalaureate (Buggered if I can spell it)), and to get you into a-levels, which are also pointless! Woo!

Double-J> Yeah, in a way, they're taken at around the same age I think...

We have to do GCSEs here in Saudi too as most schools here follow the british curriculum. A2 levels, not important? There's quite a difference in the amount of work + effort you need to put in between A2 level and GCSE. Remember Kieron, because of his A-levels result (which was all straight As) he got into Cambridge

Of course GCSEs are important.

Universities only have your GCSE results to go on (they interview you and offer you a place dependant on your A Level results). With so many applications to shift through, admissions tutors often glance at your GCSE results. If they aren't good enough, you'll go straight into the 'rejected' pile.

If you don't get straight A*s and As in your GCSEs then you can pretty much forget Oxbridge.

Don't forget that many people leave school at 16 with their GCSE results, so it could count as some people's only academic qualification.

What's more, the English education system is more flexible than the Baccalaureate, allowing for a freer choice of subjects at A2 Level, provided that you have good GCSE results.

demonixz, I would venture to suggest that you try to pass GCSEs off as less important because you'd rather study the effects of drinking alcohol on the human body, using yourself as a test subject

Just finished my mocks today...get the results next week.

That's what they WANT you to think
Word from on high (Uni admin) is that the majority of decisions are taken based on predicted a-level grades, references, and your personal statement.
Once you get a degree, the rest is all unimportant - I have two parents who interview people for jobs regularly, neither they nor their fellows care about anything beyond your degree in terms of qualifications.

But then, I'm a very bitter person when it comes to the education system - I'm from the year of people who have been messed around at almost every key juncture by various governments - first year to do SATs in year three, first year to do CATs, first year to do less GCSEs, first year through A/S levels, which I'm still angry about in fact. And there's a bunch more stuff that I'm too wasted to remember right now

And you're right on that last point - I was never a fan of biology

Anyway, regardless of all that - good luck to all and sundry taking any form of exam in the near future, important or not, they're all a vile experience

Yeh, you're probably right. Still, the better you do at GCSE level, the better you're set up for A2 Levels.

A2? Whats that?

No GCSEs for me just yet. I only have Polish this year. Rest come next year. I've had a few mocks..... not too hard, but I hear they have completely rechanged GCSE's or something.

The A2 is what up until a year or so ago was called the a-level. Its exactly the same, but now its not worth as much...

How can you say GCSE's suck? If you have NO GCSEs you will end up licking windows and floors for a living. You have to have some qualifications. Also, if A-Levels suck, why do foreigners come here and do them? Or do them in their countries? Hmmm? Look at Saudi, a perfect example. If GCSEs and ALEVELS suck, why do THEY do them?
Not for fun I hope
